"I thought we got a bit sloppy with the fact the game was so comfortable for us.

"Brighton were stronger in the second half and you have to say they deserve the point.

"I thought N'Golo Kante was fantastic and Toni Rudiger at the back. But as a collective, our quality on the ball was not good enough.

"We deserved Brighton's goal for the way we didn't put our foot down.

"We still have a long way to go."

Kyle: Awful play from Newcastle, you cannot afford to make horrendous mistakes like that in your own final third against anyone, but especially not against a quality, ruthless Leicester side. Brilliant finish from Maddison, game over.

Dave Payn: It is a good Leicester side but one that seemingly freezes when coming up against top opposition, this season anyway.

Apparently, the Southampton fans are singing, "you're just a *rubbish* Pochettino" to Jose Mourinho at St Mary's.

It gets worse for Newcastle - Jetro Willems is injured and can't carry on. DeAndre Yedlin takes his spot.

Nearly three! Ayoze Perez causing havoc, he's in down the right and cuts it back, Kelechi Ihenacho should probably score but his side-footer is half blocked and half saved by Martin Dubravka, who claws it away from the goalline.

It's hard to describe how bad the first goal is. It's a lack of concentration from Newcastle, it's a backpass across the penalty area. Steve Bruce will be furious. He has gone against what you are taught as a school boy! The second is some strike from James Maddison, it's gone right in the top corner. That's not a 'weaker' foot - he's worked hard on that to be two footed. A great goal.

James Maddison has scored eight goals from outside the box in the Premier League since the start of last season; more than any other player.
