  1. 'Well done to the assistant referee'published at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Burnley

    Jonathan Overend
    Radio 5 Live presenter

It was one of those where the players were spread across the defensive line and virtually everybody was there. It was very difficult to tell but confirmed as offside - only just but you have to say well done to the assistant referee.

  2. 'Armstrong got himself in a good position'published at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Leicester 1-1 Southampton

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd striker on BBC Final Score

It’s a bad deflection, but Armstrong’s got himself in a good position.

It's a nice dummy from Ward-Prowse in the build-up. Schmeichel’s already committed himself so it goes past him.

  3. Postpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Everton 0-0 Brighton

After a bright opening it's all gone a bit quiet at Goodison Park and Carlo Ancelotti is prowling his tecnhnical area. Brighton haven't got going.

  4. Postpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Man Utd 0-0 Norwich

It is not quite happening for Manchester United in the final third at the moment. The build up play is decent but then their attacks are falling apart once they get into the Norwich box. Still waiting for a first shot on target.

  5. goal

VAR checkpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Burnley

Burnley have the ball in the back of the Chelsea net after a close range header by Jeff Hendrick. Up goes the offside flag but VAR is having a look. There's a pause while it's checked before a decision is made - no goal.

  6. Postpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Wolves 1-1 Newcastle

    Pat Murphy
    5 live Sport

Silly corner given away by Ciaran Clark. A rash challenge on Pedro Neto survived the VAR.

Why he didn't jockey him into position and let the ball go out of play is beyond me. The low corner kick was expertly swept home by Dendoncker.

  7. goal

GOAL - Leicester 1-1 Southamptonpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Stuart Armstrong (19 mins)

    The Saints are level!

Huge slice of luck about the equaliser as Stuart Armstrong's strike takes a big deflection off James Maddison but the visitors will take it. All square.

    Man Utd 0-0 Norwich

Manchester United are pressing hard as they try to open the scoring but the Norwich defence is holding firm so far.

  9. 'Only going to be one winner'published at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Wolves 1-1 Newcastle

    Garth Crooks
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on BBC Final Score

Wolves win the flick-on so it beats the next Newcastle defender.

It’s a nice height for Dendoncker – once he beats the first Newcastle man there was only going to be one winner.

  10. Postpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Man Utd 0-0 Norwich

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wan Bissaka is pushing up on the right, as a winger not as a right-back. That is taking up so much time of Cantwell and strangling their main source of creativity.

  11. Postpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Everton 0-0 Brighton

Brighton keeper Mat Ryan has pledged 500 Australian dollars for the bushfire appeal for every save made in the Premier League this weekend.

He's just come flying off his line to deny Dominic Calvert-Lewin after another decent Everton move.

  12. 'Referee and VAR got it wrong'published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Everton 0-0 Brighton

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd striker on BBC Final Score

Walcott is the wrong side of Lewis Dunk, Dunk doesn’t know what to do and pulls him down.

Walcott’s actually got punished for not going down. He’s trying to stay on his feet. The referee got it wrong and VAR got it wrong.

  13. goal

GOAL - Wolves 1-1 Newcastlepublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Leander Dendoncker (14 mins)

    Newcastle's lead didn't last long!

The hosts hit back as the visitors switch off at the back and Leander Dendoncker takes full advantage, tucking away Joao Moutinho's corner.

  14. Postpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Burnley

Burnley are looking to avoid a fourth successive league defeat and they have set up well against Chelsea. It's been a bruising start for the Clarets. James Tarkowski and Chris Wood have both received treatment for injuries but are good to continue.

  15. goal

GOAL - Leicester 1-0 Southamptonpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Dennis Praet (14 mins)

    It begins...

Leicester scored their first in the 9-0 win against Southampton earlier this season after 10 minutes and they have opened the scoring in the 14th minute of this game with Dennis Praet firing home from Jamie Vardy's cross.

VAR has a look at a potential offside but the goal stands. Praet has his first goal for Leicester.

  16. 'It's a very simple finish'published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Wolves 0-1 Newcastle

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd striker on BBC Final Score

I don’t know why Conor Coady’s so deep – it leaves Newcastle so much space to run into. It’s a very simple finish from Almiron, but you’ve got to execute it under pressure.

He’s now having a bit of a purple patch. Fair play to him, he works very hard.

  17. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Man Utd 0-0 Norwich

Shouts for a penalty as Christoph Zimmermann puts a foot across Anthony Martial as the Manchester United forward turns just in front of goal. VAR has a look but it is a stumble by Martial, nothing more.

Alex Coe: Sheffield United currently sitting in 5th place in the league. If you took 12 points off them they'd drop 12 positions to 17th. If you gave them 12 points they'd move up just 1 position to 4th.

Stephen Brograth: That’s a penalty all day. Players should just go down, VAR should applaud their attempt to stay up in the knowledge they’ll get the pen because of VAR. Awful.

Phillip Ryder: Everton haven’t had a penalty in the Premier League this season. With decisions like that, is it any wonder?

  19. Postpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

Everton need a response after last week's weak performance against Liverpool in the FA Cup. They've started with real energy against Brighton and will feel they should have had a penalty.
