  1. 'VAR has got it spot on'published at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    FT: Crystal Palace 1-1 Arsenal

    Steven Reid
Former Blackburn midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

On the balance of the second half I think Palace had more of the ball and more chances. If it had stayed 11 v 11 Arsenal might have gone on and won the game.

The sending off is the major talking point of the game. It's one of the rare occasions this season where VAR has got it absolutely spot on. It was a poor challenge from Aubameyang.

First half Arsenal dominated and should have gone in more than a goal up but second half performance much better from Palace. The fans were behind them and I think on the balance of it 1-1 was probably a fair result.

  2. 'The way we conceded killed me'published at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    FT: Crystal Palace 1-1 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I’m seeing a lot of things I’m pleased with. We're seeing a lot of positives, but the way we conceded the goal killed me. It’s not what I want.

"We have to keep working for 90-95 minutes. If you switch off in this league you get punished, but there are positives and we have to keep going."

  3. Aubameyang red 'a no-brainer'published at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    FT: Crystal Palace 1-1 Arsenal

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "As a coaching staff we’re unbelievably proud of the team. There aren’t many teams who can deal with eight of their first-team players out and still produce a performance like this against Arsenal."

On Aubameyang's red card: "When it happened I thought it was a bad tackle. I didn’t think for one minute Aubameyang wanted to injure Max Meyer. It’s only when I saw it on the video that I saw how bad a challenge it was. It’s a no-brainer for a red card, unfortunately."

    HT: Man Utd 1-0 Norwich

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Comfortable for 42 and a half minutes there and then two little lapses in concentration from Manchester United and they could have been going in here 1-1.

Conceding a goal would have shocked this stadium and it would have been desperately unfair as well, but that's the way football is.

I think that is possibly the best thing that could have happened to United because they will realise they will need another.

    Garth Crooks
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on BBC Final Score

Ings' shot hits the bar and comes out – and Schmeichel still hasn’t landed. It was a sensational strike. That’s the type of form Ings is in at the moment.

It’s been a great game. Southampton could win this – they’re playing brilliantly.

    Man Utd 1-0 Norwich

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's been 42 minutes of utter control for Manchester United and then they could have conceded two goals in a minute there. That's why one goal is never enough.

    Chelsea 2-0 Burnley

It already looks like a damage-limitation exercise for Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

The Clarets are closing in on a fourth straight Premier League defeat unless they can turn it around.

A big half-time team talk coming up from Sean Dyche.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Man Utd 1-0 Norwich

First save of the game by David de Gea and it is a big one as Norwich break forward through Emiliano Buendía. He slips in Todd Cantwell, whose placed effort towards the far post is tipped away by De Gea's fingers.

  17. 'Abraham has been excellent'published at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Chelsea 2-0 Burnley

    Garth Crooks
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on BBC Final Score

Abraham’s been out on loan in the Championship but he’s been excellent this season.

He’s the reason, I think, why Chelsea have done better than I expected them to so far this term.

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd striker on BBC Final Score

Pope must have taken his eye off the ball, but Abraham did very well.

Abraham wants to win that and make sure it’s his. He headed it into the ground and did everything perfectly.

    Everton 1-0 Brighton

    Delyth Lloyd
    BBC Sport reporter

Richarllison turns just outside the area and hits it low into the far corner. Nicely taken goal by Richarlison as Everton erupts. They have their goal.
