Aaron Mooy was the best player on the field when these teams met at the end of December. He's not scaled those heights tonight, but Australians never know when they're beaten - has Mooy's goal given Brighton a tiny glimmer going into the last 10 minutes?

You come together as a team when you go down to 10 men because you have to.

Chelsea should be making more chances with the player advantage but Arsenal have come back fighting.

Adam Flowers: Just a reminder that we (Arsenal) pay £350k a week to a player who rarely turns up to games. Mesut Ozil has been wildly inconsistent under three managers (Wenger, Emery and now Arteta). Shocking return this season. He's not value for money. We need to sell.

Southampton have been excellent tonight - 59% possession, 14 shots to four. Plenty of pressure.

    Aaron Mooy

    Aaron Ramsdale is finally beaten!

Simon Francis' header only goes as far as Aaron Mooy in the box. His first touch is excellent and then he smashes it off the inside of the right post.

There's a quick VAR check for handball but we're all good.

He may not be credited with the own goal, but there's no mistaking the joy among his team-mates - and manager Eddie Howe - as Callum Wilson takes the ball around Mathew Ryan for Bournemouth's third. (And another assist for Dominic Solanke).

However, the Cherries boss will be just as pleased with his goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who had been keeping the score down to 2-0 with some fingertip saves and brave blocks to deny the Seagulls.

"Eddie had a dream, on minus 17..." sing the home fans as they recall Bournemouth's escape from League Two's abyss back in Howe's first season as manager. Can it really be 11 years ago?
