    Bristol City 0-2 Birmingham City

Birmingham City comfortably close things out in the end - a goal in each half from Lucy Whipp and Abbi Grant enough to see off Bristol City.

A second WSL victory of the season lifts Blues up to ninth, above Brighton.

The Robins remain winless and stay 11th in the table. They're now just a point above bottom club Liverpool, who narrowed the gap by drawing with West Ham.

  3. INJURY TIMEpublished at 16:52 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Bristol City 0-2 Birmingham City

Into three minutes of injury time.

To Bristol City's credit they're pushing all the way to the end but that final pass, final cross, that last bit of quality just isn't there. It simply isn't their day.

Birmingham have shut this game down since the break and it's worked a treat.

Into the final three minutes and this match is dribbling to its conclusion now.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:45 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Bristol City 0-2 Birmingham City

Hannah Hampton made this look a lot easier than it was.

A drilled free-kick from Charlie Wellings is moving all over the place and the Birmingham keeper plants her feet, keeps her eyes on it and manages to punch the ball away.

  7. CLOSE!published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Bristol City 0-2 Birmingham City

Charlie Wellings goes close twice in a matter of moments as Bristol City try and find a way back into this game.

She has a go from outside the box under no pressure and the effort flies just wide, then she's played in in the area and slots past Hannah Hampton, only for Rebecca Holloway to slide in and clear off the line.

Isn't feeling like the Robins' day.

  9. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 0-2 Birmingham Citypublished at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Abbi Grant (65 mins)

Sucker punch, and it's not the first goalkeeping howler we've seen today.

Birmingham have barely had an attack since the break, but with their first foray forwards they've made it 2-0. Some neat play down the right eventually ends with the ball falling to Abbi Grant on the edge of the box.

She hits it and just about beats Sophie Baggaley, who had to save this, as the ball dribbles and apologetically glances off the post and in.

    That may well be that.

    Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham

The home side are continuing to push for an equaliser but as things stand, Blues are coping with the pressure pretty well.

If at any point Bristol City do get through, they're finding a stubborn Hannah Hampton in the way - the Birmingham keeper hasn't had to make any difficult saves yet though.

Georgia Wilson goes down the flank for the Robins are curls a cross in but Hampton comes out an claims it. She has been utterly faultless, so far.

    FT: Reading 0-3 Arsenal

Player of the match and Arsenal midfielder Kim Little on the BBC Red Button:

"You know it's always going to be hard to come and face a team like Reading away here and we didn't play at our best in windy conditions.

"It's nice to score a goal from a move like that, we work on those sort of corners quite a lot in training.

"Joe Montemurro (Arsenal manager) reminds us that every single game is different, so we know we have to keep working to ensure we stay ahead of the competition in this league."

    Reading 0-3 Arsenal

Getting the job done is what that will be filed under for Arsenal.

They head back to the top with a two-point lead over Chelsea, who do have a game in hand.

Perhaps a harsh scoreline on Reading after they had the better of the first 25 minutes, but two goals from Vivianne Miedema and Kim Little with the other make that a commanding win for Arsenal.

    Reading 0-3 Arsenal

And there's nearly enough time for a fourth Arsenal goal...

Grace Moloney denies Beth Mead this time as she tried to slide the ball under her body after being played through in similar fashion to Miedema just now.

    Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham City

    Hannah Hampton saves again!

Yana Daniels goes on a powerful run down the left for Bristol City, going past Lily Simkin like she wasn't there, before shooting hard across goal.

But the Birmingham keeper parries the ball clear.

She will not be beaten this afternoon.

    Vivianne Miedema (90+1 mins)

And those four additional minutes give Vivianne Miedema long enough to add another goal to her tally...

Her 12th in the WSL this season alone comes with a delicate lob over Grace Moloney after a ball over the top gives her plenty of time to pick her spot.

    Clinical from the Gunners.

    Reading 0-2 Arsenal

Second Reading change sees Jade Moore off and Millie Farrow on.

Moore perhaps a touch fortunate she didn't pick up a couple of bookings for some of her earlier involvements.

Into the closing stages with Arsenal heading back to the top and BBC Red Button pundit Jayne Ludlow making Kim Little her player of the match.

Here's how she put her side 2-0 up earlier on...

    Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham City

Hannah Hampton has to be on her guard to maintain Birmingham's lead, as the Blues keeper runs back to catch a lobbed effort from Bristol City's Frankie Brown.

It's been a good start to the half from the home side, then again they played okay before the break too.

  20. Postpublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Reading 0-2 Arsenal

Great save by Grace Moloney in Reading's goal to deny Jill Roord a goal with pretty much her first touch.

Well tipped over the bar from a rising right-foot strike by the Netherlands international as we move into the last five minutes.
