  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Reading 0-2 Arsenal

And another booking against a Reading player...

Lisa-Marie Utland tangles with Beth Mead and I don't think she can have too many complaints as there was minimal attempt to win the ball!

    Reading 0-2 Arsenal

Reading still having a go here despite the scoreline.

Kristine Leine sends in a ball at pace from the right to the head of Fara Williams, but she can't angle it on target.

  3. Postpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 West Ham

It's still all Liverpool, they're pushing for a second goal that could lift them off the bottom of the WSL table seeing as Bristol City are losing to Birmingham.

The pressure is relentless, Courtney Brosnan has twice come to West Ham's aid.

First she punched clear a dangerous cross under pressure and moments ago she made a superb save from Christie Murray's thunderbolt 20-yard strike.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Reading 0-2 Arsenal

Another Reading player in the book in Maz Pacheco.

She rather cynically tugs on Jordan Nobbs' shirt when Arsenal try to break and that just sums up Reading's frustration in this one.

  5. Postpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Reading 0-2 Arsenal

Reading out of the blocks quickly at the resumption very much like they were in the first half.

Fara Williams sends a cross to the back post that Lisa-Marie Utland can't quite get enough of a head on to stick it on target.

    LIVERPOOL HAVE SCORED A GOAL!!

    LIVERPOOL HAVE SCORED A GOAL!!

It's only their second goal in the WSL this season - their other one was from the penalty spot - so can you see why I'm a tad excited?!

Mel Lawley redeems herself after that horrible penalty miss earlier on by putting in a brilliant cross, which Niamh Charles gets just enough on to turn home.

    Game on.

    Tottenham 1-0 Brighton

Spurs' 1-0 lead is looking pretty comfortable at the moment, with just over 15 minutes left to play. Brighton aren't showing too much in attack right now.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Reading 0-2 Arsenal

Who doesn't like a bit of Darude - Sandstorm to fire up a crowd?

The Adams Park DJ certainly knows how to spin a thumping tune to build up the atmosphere during a chilly half-time interval.

Out come the two teams again as he then decides to drop a bit of Faithless - Insomnia!

Taking me back to my misspent late teens this.

Anyhow, Reading have it all to do to get back into this one with Arsenal seemingly in command with a 2-0 lead....

    Liverpool 0-1 West Ham

It's been a great response from Liverpool to that huge blow of the missed penalty.

They're continuing to dominate and this time it's Rinsola Babajida who runs at the heart of the West Ham defence, causing all sorts of problems before off-loading to Niamh Charles.

She shoots first time but it's a fraction wide of the upright.

Liverpool really do deserve to be level.

  10. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Liverpool 0-1 West Ham

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

Liverpool's Mel Lawley has dragged that penalty horribly wide of the target. It's a good three yards away from even hitting the post.

She is horrified with herself after that.

    Prenton Park is absolutely silent.

  11. PENALTY LIVERPOOLpublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Liverpool 0-1 West Ham

Rhiannon Roberts is fouled in the box and Liverpool have the chance for just their second goal of the WSL season.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham City

    Birmingham inches from 2-0!

Abbi Grant smashes a shot across goal and Sophie Baggaley is rooted to the spot just watching it fly past her face.

Lucky for her, it cannons away via the crossbar.

  13. goal

GOAL: Tottenham 1-0 Brightonpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Ashleigh Neville (58 mins)

A bit of a messy opener, but Tottenham won't care too much about that.

The ball breaks for Ashleigh Neville in the Brighton box, her first attempt is blocked and her second somehow finds its way into the net.

Brighton's Victoria Williams might have helped it over the line and it may well end up being an own goal, but Neville's claiming it for now.

    HT: Reading 0-2 Arsenal

And in case you missed them, here are those two Arsenal goals from the first half at Adams Park.

Who else but Vivianne Miedema netted the first....

A lovely move from a corner produced Arsenal's second which Kim Little finished with some class and composure...

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Reading 0-2 Arsenal

A curious first 45 minutes that.

Reading without doubt were the better team for the first 25, but then Arsenal showed just why they are the class outfit we see each week.

Vivianne Miedema slotted in yet another goal to add to her tally for the first before Kim Little's lovely volley at the end of a corner made it 2-0.

  16. INJURY TIMEpublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

Three minutes being added on at the end of this first half....

  17. Postpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Tottenham 0-0 Brighton

Brighton defender Victoria Williams has just made an excellent last-ditch challenge to prevent Rianna Dean putting Tottenham in front at the start of the second half.

She's injured herself in the process of making that vital block for her team.

  18. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham Citypublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Lucy Whipp (6 mins)

Birmingham City have an early breakthrough.

Claudia Walker runs down the right before picking out Lucy Whipp on the edge of the area with the cut-back.

Whipp goes for accuracy over power with her weaker foot, and finds the top corner.

Lovely finish, if a little loopy.

  19. Postpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Reading 0-2 Arsenal

Decent effort from Fara Williams as she takes aim with a free-kick from distance.

The wind picks it up and gives it some pace, but it just has too much on it to stay under the crossbar as it grazes the roof of the Arsenal net.

  20. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Liverpool 0-1 West Ham

Liverpool are continuing to have the better of the play after the break and are finally starting to test Courtney Brosnan in the West Ham goal.

Niam Charles shots hard and low, but Brosnan saves well, then Ashley Hodson thinks she's clean through only for the West Ham keeper to come sprinting out and beat her to the through-ball.

As I was about to hit SEND, the visitors race up the other end and Fran Kithching is the one to make a save this time as Kenza Dali is denied from close range.

    Much more entertaining so far.
