    Cardiff 0-0 Millwall

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

It has not been a classic, to say the least, thus far at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Neither Cardiff nor Millwall have been able to maintain possession with any sort of consistency, meaning a very scrappy game with few attacking opportunities.

Millwall have seen a penalty claim turned down as the break approaches, however, with Tom Bradshaw going down following Curtis Nelson's challenge.

The Millwall bench were convinced, but referee David Webb waved play on.

    Barnsley 0-1 West Brom

After a frantic spell of play in the middle of this first half for Barnsley, it's all calmed down at Oakwell as we approach the half-time whistle.

Charlie Austin tries his luck with an effort to test Tykes keeper Sam Radlinger but he's wise to it and collects with ease.

Filip Krovinovic's early goal for West Brom is all that separates these sides, but the hosts will be pleased with how they've performed thus far against the league leaders.

    Brentford 2-0 Swansea

Brentford centre-half Pontus Jansson must have a titanium cranium because he's just had a piledriver of a shot rammed straight into his forehead.

He was felled by the force but swiftly rose to his feet. The Swede has a swede of steel. It was a crucial block too.

    Stoke 1-0 Sheff Wed

Cameron Dawson hooks away with his feet after a Stoke move slices through the Wednesday defence.

Tom Ince carved through, fed James McClean, and his ball across the box was met powerfully by Sam Clucas but Dawson stood firm.

    Stoke 1-0 Sheff Wed

There's no denying the talent within the boots of Wednesday's chief architect Barry Bannan, but his radar isn't quite on today.

He's popping up everywhere to try to inspire his team, but a few 'Hollywood' passes have just not picked out the man and it feels like he's trying too hard.

If he does get it right, Wednesday will be tough to cope with. Stoke have marshalled him well so far. Swamped in midfielder by the terrier-like Joe Allen.

  7. goal

GOAL: Charlton 1-0 Bristol Citypublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Macauley Bonne (40 mins)

Charlton haven't won for two months but they could be on course for three points here.

Macauley Bonne latches onto a ball forward and lobs over the advancing Dan Bentley to give the Addicks the lead.

    Luton 2-1 Fulham

Luton have the ball in the net again through James Collins, however this time it's flagged for offside in the build-up.

The Hatters did well to break upfield in the process, however, with Alfie Mawson dragging a shot wide from long range just moments prior.

This could be a tough afternoon for Fulham the way this is going.

  9. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 1-0 Huddersfieldpublished at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Djed Spence (36 mins)

What a way to open your scoring, getting a vital goal for Boro on Boxing Day!

Djed Spence pops up with a finish at the back-stick thanks to smart work from Ashley Fletcher.

Right place, right time. Important goal.

    Brentford 2-0 Swansea

Most of the play is occuring in Swansea territory at the moment, as Brentford control the game.

Red and white waves keep breaking on the Swans, who are without an answer attacking-wise at present.

Another raid down the left, another cross, and more pulse-quickening defending for the visitors.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Barnsley 0-1 West Brom

West Brom are living dangerously against Barnsley and the Tykes are unfortunate not to be on level terms at the very least.

The latest in a string of chances for the hosts sees Mads Andersen hit the woodwork from a header from close range.

    League One & Two latest

League One leaders Wycombe are still goalless away at Portsmouth, but they'll be buoyed by news that second-placed Peterborough are behind at home to Doncaster.

Fellow challengers Ipswich and Bristol Rovers, who have Ben Garner in charge for the first time today, are still 0-0 in their respective games.

Southend have equalised against MK Dons at the bottom, while in League Two Plymouth have gone 1-0 in front at Cheltenham.

  13. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Stoke 1-0 Sheff Wed

Wonderful move by Sheffield Wednesday sees Adam Reach strike the base of the post with an instinctive header.

Kadeem Harris was the creator, jinking into the box and standing up a cross which Reach met forcefully on the run, Shearer-esque power, and it crashed into the frame of the goal and away.

    James Collins (27 mins)

A frantic opening half an hour sees Luton restore their lead against Fulham!

A Hatters free-kick almost at the halfway line is sent into the Fulham box and the ball eventually bounces to James Collins, who coolly controls before slotting home from close range.

  15. goal

GOAL: Brentford 2-0 Swanseapublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Ollie Watkins (25 mins)

This was a lovely goal, and to coin the phrase, goals at Griffin Park are seemingly like London buses, in that two have come along almost at once.

Rico Henry was given the time and space to stretch his legs down the left touchline, swishing his way downfield before bending a corking cross into that awkward area between defender and the goalkeeper.

There was Ollie Watkins to stretch out a leg and divert the ball beyond Freddie Woodman for the Bees' second.

    Stoke 1-0 Sheff Wed

Puff of the cheeks from Massimo Luongo, as the Wednesday midfielder is penalised following a tackle which left Sam Clucas stretched out on the turf momentarily.

It was a sigh which seemed to say: 'Is this still a contact sport, ref?'

Frustrating afternoon so far for the Australia international and his team-mates.

    Barnsley 0-1 West Brom

Barnsley haven't sat back in the past few minutes and are peppering the West Brom goal with a number of chances.

The Baggies have keeper Sam Johnstone to thank for keeping them at bay, however, after he pulled off a point-blank save to deny Cauley Woodrow before he pulls off a tremendous one-handed save at full stretch to deny Jacob Brown.

Nervy times for the visitors, for whom Charlie Austin is among those sniffing a second goal.

GOAL: Brentford 1-0 Swanseapublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Bryan Mbeumo (20 mins)

He's got a bit of a hot streak at home, has Bryan Mbeumo, grabbing his fourth in as many games at Griffin Park to give the Bees the lead.

It's a corner into the box, Ethan Pinnock nods it into the six-yard box and Mbuemo cranes his neck, eeks out some power and it thumps into the back of the net.

Ollie Watkins had gone close just moments before, and Brentford will feel it had been coming.

Another steaming run down the left by James McClean is complemented by a cross which Lee Gregory tries to glance across goal.

It rolls agonisingly wide of the right upright. Stoke purring at the minute.

    Luton 1-1 Fulham

Fulham are giving Luton a lot to think about after Bobby Decordova-Reid's equaliser got the back on track.

Firstly Ivan Cavaleiro is giving them a lot of problems at the back with a number of runs into the Hatters' half before Tom Cairney forces home keeper Simon Sluga into a fantastic save with a curling shot from long range.
