  1. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 1-1 Birminghampublished at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Kerim Mrabti (63 mins)

Another converted penalty at Ewood Park, this time for the visitors. Kerim Mrabti confidently sticks away the spot-kick.

  2. goal

GOAL: Cardiff 1-0 Millwallpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Aden Flint (59 mins)

It ain't the prettiest goal you ever did see, but Aden Flint proves how effective he is once more.

The Cardiff defender taps home from the back post in the aftermath of a Bluebirds corner and Neil Harris' side are a goal to the good against his former side Millwall.

  3. Postpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Brentford 2-0 Swansea

Swansea winger Bersant Celina proves really unlucky as his jinky run toward the penalty area is not halted, and his curling effort whizzes just wide of the Bees right post.

Brentford continue to probe the Swans area, and Bryan Mbeumo watched a shot flash just wide of the target after a shuffling run down the right.

  4. goal

GOAL: Charlton 1-2 Bristol Citypublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Niclas Eliasson (60 mins)

What an impact by Niclas Eliasson! The substitute set up Bristol City's equaliser and has now scored to put them ahead.

It's a bit fortunate how it comes to the winger, but he makes no mistake from a tight angle. Turnaround complete.

    A GRIMSBY GOAL!

The Mariners have the ball in the net in a League Two game for the first time since 12 October.

Charles Vernam scores against Macclesfield - it's 1-1.

  6. Postpublished at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Barnsley 0-1 West Brom

Try as they may, Barnsley just can't grind their way to a goal against West Brom so far, but they have continued their dominance from the end of the first half.

Luke Thomas puts in a fierce strike towards goal for the hosts but the Tykes midfielder's effort is well dealt with by Baggies keeper Sam Johnstone.

    Luton 2-1 Fulham

    Ivan CavaleiroImage source, Rex Features

Fulham have dominated the early stages of this second half against a Luton side that looked unfazed in the first period.

Josh Onomah puts a nice run in for the Cottagers and works it back towards Bobby Decordova-Reid, who is well tackled before he can work a shot on goal.

Promising stuff from Fulham, but without the end result they desire.

  8. Postpublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Stoke 1-0 Sheff Wed

Clash of heads from Massimo Luongo and Sam Clucas, who are really putting themselves about in this really high-tempo game. Looked painful. We've had a stoppage.

The former has blood trickling from a subsequent wound so he's gone off and Sam Hutchinson has come on.

    Fully committed.

    Brentford 2-0 Swansea

Brentford live by their passing mantra, and are prepared to dice with danger in their pursuit of it too in clearing their lines.

Not for them a loose hack up field as the pressure mounts. instead they have David Raya curling a swinging pass out to Rico Henry, who then tries to beat his man and loses it but gains a throw.

High risk, but very pretty football.

  10. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 1-0 Birminghampublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Adam Armstrong (55 mins)

Sam Gallagher is brought down in the box by Birmingham defender Wes Harding and Adam Armstrong does the business from the spot to put Blackburn in front.

  11. Postpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Stoke 1-0 Sheff Wed

Stoke have players down, one of which is Sam Clucas. The midfielder had a shout for a penalty turned down, and to add insult to actual injury, got one of Massimo Luongo's studded size nines* applied clumsily to his ankle to leave him writhing in pain.

    Risky challenge, which goes unpunished.

    *That's a guess, I don't know his shoe size.

Some cheer for Macclesfield, who have been through the ringer and then some in recent weeks.

The Silkmen are in front against Grimsby with a Joe Ironside penalty, and Grimsby haven't scored a league goal since 12 October...

Also in League Two, Port Vale have the opening goal at Mansfield and Morecambe have equalised at home to Oldham.

    Luton 2-1 Fulham

    Aleksandar MitrovicImage source, Rex Features

Fulham might be a goal down but they have the formidable striker Aleksandar Mitrovic in their ranks.

The Serb gets on the end of a scramble in the Luton box but his shot is blocked away and the hosts live to fight another day.

Fulham could do with an early goal in this second half if they are to get back on track.

  14. Postpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Stoke 1-0 Sheff Wed

I don't know whether Garry Monk has stripped paint with his half-time team talk but his Wednesday side are playing like they had the old rocket up the backside treatment in the early part of the second-half.

Adam Reach just teased a cross to the back post, a gentle floater that was begging to be attacked but there was no-one there to attack it.

Not even 'Big Dave' as the locals call Adthe Nuhiu.

  15. goal

GOAL: Charlton 1-1 Bristol Citypublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Andreas Weimann (46 mins)

An excellent glancing header from Andreas Weimann brings Bristol City level in the first minute of the second half.

City brought on Niclas Eliasson as one of two half-time changes and he was the man who put in the cross. Instant impact.
