  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

    Ji So-yunImage source, Rex Features

Ji So-yun is on for Chelsea with 15 minutes to play, and I have to say I'm shocked it's taken that long. This is the first match she hasn't started in the WSL this season.

    She replaces Ramona Bachmann.

Can Ji provide the bit of spark Chelsea just haven't had against the division's bottom club this afternoon?

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

It's Liverpool boss Vicky Jepson who blinks first.

    Courtney Sweetman-Kirk replaces Melissa Lawley.

    Less than 20 to go.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Reading 0-1 Tottenham

Reading should be level, but it is a brilliant save from Rebecca Spencer which keeps it 1-0 to Spurs.

Fara Williams gets into space in the visitors' box and decides to square it to Amalie Eikeland.

The striker shoots first-time from about 10 yards out but Spencer is equal to it, diving to her right to palm the ball away from danger.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

Looping effort from Maren Mjelde and it does hit the woodwork, but it always looked to be going over.

Liverpool keeper Fran Kitching was happy to watch it onto the top of the bar, and behind for a goal-kick.

Becky Jane was booked for a foul on Erin Cuthbert in giving that free-kick away by the way - she's the second Liverpool player in the book, as Kirsty Linnett was yellow-carded for a foul earlier.

  5. Postpublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

Chelsea have a free-kick in a very dangerous position, just left of centre 25 yards out. Could this be the breakthrough?

  6. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

Chelsea have hit the post, but they're far from piling on the pressure. They're finding Liverpool difficult to break down.

The Reds are a curious beast. Despite having drawn two and lost seven of their nine WSL matches before today, they'd only conceded 11 goals.

So defensively, Vicky Jepson's team are actually very solid.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

Inches away from Chelsea taking the lead.

Another delicious left-wing cross from Ramona Bachmann and this time it's Wales midfielder Sophie Ingle, against her former club, who meets it with her head.

Keeper beaten, slow motion, it cannons away off the post.

  8. goal

GOAL: Reading 0-1 Tottenhampublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Siri Worm (52 mins)

I talked about someone finding some inspiration, and Siri Worm has come up with a moment of magic to giver her side the lead.

Kit Graham takes a quick corner on the right flank and finds the defender in space on the edge of the Reading box.

The Netherlands international sets herself and pics out the top left-hand corner of the net with a curling left-footed strike from the edge of the area.

Royals keeper Grace Moloney had no chance with that one.

  9. Postpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

No changes in terms of personnel for the second half, and after five minutes no changes in terms of the flow of the game - it's very, very even.

Chelsea have Ji So-yun on the bench, and you just wonder how much longer the South Korean can stay there.

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Reading 0-0 Tottenham

The visitors start the second half at Adams Park.

Will either side find some inspiration and claim the three points?

  11. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

Both sides get into huddles then break out for a quick sprint.

Liverpool kick off and we're back going at Prenton Park.

Can Chelsea complete the comeback and keep their title push on track?

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Reading 0-0 Tottenham

The deadlock is yet to be broken in the mid-table clash at Adams Park.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

An excellent, and probably fair to say surprisingly, competitive half of football at Prenton Park.

Liverpool went ahead when some suspect keeping led to pinball in the area following a free-kick, and allowed Niamh Charles to prod home after just four minutes.

Chelsea hit back 10 minutes later when Beth England headed in a superb left-wing cross.

The Blues remember are unbeaten in the WSL this season, drawing just once. The Reds haven't won, drawing just twice.

So surely it's only going one way after the break right? Let's see.

  14. Postpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

Just the one minute of added on time.

All got a bit scrappy since I said how good the game was. Funny that.

  15. Postpublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

It's proper end-to-end stuff at Prenton Park!

Chelsea fire crosses in from left and right that look like they'll lead to goals but no-one can get a shot away, then Liverpool eventually hammer the ball clear.

In so doing, Rinsola Babajide is sent one-on-one with England centre-half Millie Bright who wins the battle but can't get the ball clear.

Liverpool then have their own repeated efforts of firing the ball into the box and panicky defending eventually ends things.

    Great game.

  16. Postpublished at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Reading 0-0 Tottenham

In the fourth WSL game today, it is goalless between Reading and Tottenahm Hotspur at Adams Park.

Both sides have won just one of their past four league games.

Spurs keeper Rebecca Spencer made an early double save from Farah Williams, while Kit Graham has fired wide for the visitors.

The Royals won 4-0 when the two clubs met in the WSL Cup earlier this season.

There are 10 minutes left to the break.

  17. CLOSE!published at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

By Beth England's standards, this is a bad miss.

A fabulous Ramona Bachmann cross from the right is just begging to be turned in, there's not a defender in sight.

I think the Chelsea striker is caught in two minds over whether to use her head or foot.

She goes head, but gets barely a touch on it from six yards out and the ball flies wide.

  18. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:28 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Everton 1-3 Arsenal

    Arsenal celebrateImage source, Rex Features

Arsenal see out three minutes of added time to record their sixth successive WSL win.

The Gunners remain top of the table and are three points clear of second-placed Man City as things stand.

Chelsea can trim their lead back to two points if they win at Liverpool, but champions Arsenal will finish 2019 at the summit.

The only concern for the visitors will be that first-half injury to forward Beth Mead.

It's back-to-back league defeats for Everton.

  19. Postpublished at 14:28 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

Midway through the first half and this has been really competitive, which is a surprise if you go solely off the league table.

Liverpool haven't won in the WSL this season and today's goal is only their third overall.

Chelsea haven't lost in the WSL this season and today's goal is their 21st.

    Poles apart.

  20. CLOSE!published at 14:22 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Everton 1-3 Arsenal

Arsenal almost grab a fourth as a fierce strike from Lisa Evans flies past Tinja-Riikka Korpela and deflects off Danielle Turner before looping out for a corner.

The heavens have opened in Southport as we head into the final three minutes.
