Tim: Championship winning teams win when they don't play well.

Despite the result that is the worst performance of the season by far by Liverpool.

    Liverpool 2-0 Watford

Deep into injury-time now, as Mo Salah is flagged offside with Liverpool chasing another.

A tough one to take, this, for Watford. They've been solid today.

    Liverpool 2-0 Watford

Well, VAR does eventually confirm the decision after a long wait.

Mo Salah appeared well onside with Craig Cathcart on the floor after attempting to defend Sadio Mane's cross, but Cathcart had actually travelled off the pitch which left another tight call to decide whether Salah had been level with Kabasele.

Anfield breaths a sigh of relief as VAR confirms it.

GOAL - Liverpool 2-0 Watfordpublished at 90 mins

    Mo Salah

    That is brilliant.

Sadio Mane cuts the ball back for Divock Origi, who scuffs his shot as so many players have done in this game. Luckily for Liverpool this time though, Mo Salah is able to flick the ball between his legs and nutmegs Christian Kabasele on the line.

That looks like it will be that. Though VAR hasn't quite confirmed it...

    Liverpool 1-0 Watford

Incredibly, Liverpool could be about to keep consecutive Premier League clean sheets for the first time since March.

Jurgen Klopp's side have successfully managed to slow this down after a good spell for Watford.

Ilyas Najib: As it stands I can’t tell which team is top and which is bottom of the league. The Premier League is truly remarkable.

Liz Tray: It's a good job that Liverpool are so far ahead because they have been distinctly average for quite a while now. This title win is turning into a bit of a dull set of results. Hardly what City have shown the last 2 seasons is it?

Christian Kabasele appears to produce a brilliant interception as Sadio Mane set himself to put the game to bed, but replays show Mane was well offside in the build-up.

Damian Fogarty: Watford are one final pass away from being a good team this game.

Chris Agada: Watford should have been 3 up but lack of precision is the reason why they are in crisis at the bottom.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 82 mins

    Liverpool 1-0 Watford

    Off the post!

The corner, from Virgil van Dijk's questionable back-pass, strikes the outside of the near post!

The goal frame is rocking, and Liverpool appear to be slightly too.

  13. Postpublished at 81 mins

    Liverpool 1-0 Watford

Oh my! That would have been something!

Virgil van Dijk attempts to pass the ball back to Alisson but a lack of communication sees the pass roll past Alisson and travel narrowly wide of the post.

Jurgen Klopp's reaction says it all. That was almost a disaster.

An excellent tackle by Joe Gomez.

Watford break menacingly, but Joe Gomez produces a lightning sprint to get across and prevent a chance at goal.

Andre Gray is on for Troy Deeney now for the visitors.

Good effort by Watford but as Nigel will need to sort out their finishing is amateurish!

Andrew Robertson has had a noticeable influence since his introduction, with Liverpool offering a much greater threat on the left.

The left-back sends a cross in, but it's initially cut-out before it can reach Roberto Firmino.

Moments later, Robertson again picks out Firmino, but Watford have enough bodies back to crowd the Brazilian out of a clear shot.

    Liverpool 1-0 Watford

Confident build-up play from Watford, who know Liverpool could begin to get nervous if they can't extend their advantage.

They just need to be more clinical, which is easy enough to say, but they have had some incredible chances today.
