Heavy, driving rain is now sweeping in from the south end of the ground.

With Callum Wilson brought on for the second half, it looks as though Bournemouth are sticking with 4-5-1 for now - with Joshua King moving out to the right side where the substituted Lewis Cook had been, but with licence to support Wilson where possible.

In fact, with Jefferson Lerma sitting very deep in front of the back four, it's more like 4-1-4-1 for the hosts.

We've had 18 fouls so far and not a single shot on target. And it's raining.

Joshua King gets free on the right-hand side and fizzes in a low cross but neither Wilson nor Ryan Fraser can get a touch but at least it's a bit more lively.

Right, time for the entertainment. Bournemouth start the second half. Callum Wilson is on for Lewis Cook for the hosts.

A horrible, ugly 45 minutes of football that we will never ever mention again.

The biggest cheer of the game... comes when Martin Atkinson brandishes his first yellow card of the day. "It took you long enough," is the home fans' riposte.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 46 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Burnley

Burnley's Ashley Westwood is the first man in the book, shoving Diego Rico to the floor, although the Bournemouth man had been looking for his opponent, deliberately trying to block him off.

  11. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Burnley

Just the three added minutes, despite two lengthy stoppages.

  12. 'How do you watch this every week?'published at 44 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Burnley

The speed - or lack of it - with which Burnley are taking set pieces is drawing the ire of the home fans behind Aaron Ramsdale's goal in the Steve Fletcher Stand. "How do you watch this every week?" they chant.

Yesterday was the last recommended posting date for Christmas for first-class mail in the UK, but safe to say referee Martin Atkinson won't be getting too many Christmas cards from those home fans either.

  13. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Burnley

Ryan Fraser cuts inside from the left wing and curls in an effort into the penalty area, but Ben Mee is there to head the danger away.

  14. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Burnley

An inswinging corner from Burnley calls Aaron Ramsdale into action and he has to push it over the top.

Dwight McNeil's next effort from the right is headed partially clear by Phillip Billing. Billing then swings in another cross and Ramsdale does excellently to hold onto it after a strong challenge from Chris Wood.

Burnley have been physical today, but all on the right side of legal, just about.

  15. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Burnley

No action taken against James Tarkowski. Ryan Fraser has a bloodied nose but after a lengthy stoppage is OK to carry on.

  16. ouch!

    Postpublished at 36 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Burnley

James Tarkowski makes a storming take-everything-no-nonsense header from deep, wiping out Ryan Fraser in the process with the Bournemouth man needing treatment.

Fraser gets clattered with the initial impact and then smashes his nose on the turf when he lands. A double ouch.

  17. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Burnley

Dan Gosling looks to inject some life into this one, he darts past Phil Bardsley, but then collapses to the floor under minimal contact, if any.

Gosling perhaps a bit lucky to not see yellow for simulation.

  18. 'Warrior'published at 30 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Burnley

An early Ashley Barnes boot to the head has not stopped Bournemouth captain Simon Francis, who remains out there.

Not much entertainment for those hardy souls who have trekked from Lancashire to Dorset. Still, it beats last-minute Christmas shopping.
