I tell you what, that wasn't far away. Rangers have flown into this with a frantic first five minutes going by in a blur. A whipped cross from Aribo is just missed at the front post by Alfredo Morelos as the smoke finally starts to lift and the temperature cranks up.

Remember folks, Rangers just need a point to secure their progress tonight. In fact, even if they lose they could still go through, providing Porto don't win.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard - who confirmed on Wednesday he is poised to sign a new contract - tells BT Sport: "I picked the same team because I'm so happy with the way they went about it (the cup final). They were magnificent.

"We still need to take our chances and make the most of the big moments. Young Boys are a dangerous team - the have goal threats and pace. We will need to be at our best.

"We have played ever so well in the competition, so we should have the belief in front of 50,000 of our fans to finish the job if we reach our level."
