  12. Can Celtic salvage unbeaten record?published at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    Cluj 1-0 Celtic

Cluj are flooding forward now at will. Bordeianu has just squandered a promising counter attack while Dan Petrescu's men are playing with a swagger. Do Celtic's experimental side have enough in the tank tonight to finish unbeaten for the first time in a group campaign?

    Cluj 1-0 Celtic

    Quote Message

It's a brilliant save but it's so avoidable. Celtic are trying to play out from the back and Cluj are pressing well. The problem for Gordon is that he doesn't have an out-ball to hit

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:06 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    Cluj 1-0 Celtic

A stunning save from Craig Gordon stops the hosts doubling their lead in a matter of seconds. Again Celtic are carved open with Deac afforded plenty space to pick his spot. He tries to go to Gordon's left, but the veteran keeper defies his years to save.

    Celtic rocking here.

  20. Celtic struggling in Romania?published at 18:49 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    HT: Cluj 0-0 Celtic

Neil Lennon said his fringe players brought a "freshness" to Celtic's starting XI but the first 45 minutes in Romania suggests the Scottish champions have struggled to match the form that won them the group with a game to spare.

The only real chance of the half came through Cluj forward Billel Omrani, who latched on to a cut back from Lacina Traoré and with the whole Celtic goal beckoning before him managed to hit a shot right at Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

Celtic have looked threatening through Mikey Johnston's direct runs and a shot just before half-time, but they certainly haven't offered a great deal of attacking intent.
