To cheer yourselves up after a fairly dull first half, it's time for another watch of Jeremie 'Oh My Days' Frimpong while I nip for another bag of Haribos (other sweets are available).

  4. CLOSE!published at 18:40 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    Cluj 0-0 Celtic

A bit of magic from Johnston. The young forward weaves one way, then ducks the other, before producing a whipped shot that deflects just wide of the Cluj far post from range.

  5. Cluj come againpublished at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    Cluj 0-0 Celtic

The hosts threaten once more. The ball breaks to Bordeianu on the edge of the area and he fizzes his shot at goal. It cannons off of Bitton, with the home support - and the odd player - claiming for handball. It wasn't, but another warning shot for Neil Lennon's men.

There's not enough attacking threat from Celtic, but when they get forward there is a chance to create opportunities. It just needs to be a bit sharper

  7. CLOSE!published at 18:32 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    Cluj 0-0 Celtic

Traore wins a free header by climbing above Bitton. It's a perfect delivery from Deac, but the Celtic defence should be doing better. Thankfully for them, he can't keep his header down.

  8. Goal in Francepublished at 18:30 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

Rennes have scored in France to lead Lazio, Joris Gnagnon with the goal on 30 minutes.

As things stand, Cluj would need a three-goal swing across the two games to not go through.

  9. CLOSE!published at 18:28 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    Cluj 0-0 Celtic

Nir Bitton gets Celtic's first shot on target. It's a dipping effort that is goalbound, but Arlauskis does well to gather. That's more like it.

Griffiths has a lot of traffic to get through in order to get a start, so it's a big chance for him. There's a lot riding on this for Sinclair, Griffiths and Robertson. There will be guys desperate to play well in this. There's little stories within the big picture

  11. 'Higher tempo' needed from Celticpublished at 18:20 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    Cluj 0-0 Celtic

    James McFadden
Former Scotland forward on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

I would like to see a higher tempo from Celtic, but Mikey Johnston looks sharp, and Leigh Griffiths' movement has been great even though he hasn't seen much of the ball

  12. Meanwhile, in Rennespublished at 18:19 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

Things are still 0-0 in France. That means as things stand, it will be Cluj joining Celtic in the last 32, with Rennes and Lazio missing out. Who'd have thought that prior to matchday one?

  13. 'Gordon shows what a top keeper he is'published at 18:17 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

I think Omrani has got to do better. It comes from slack play by Celtic, but it's a great save from Gordon and he shows what a top goalkeeper he is

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 18:15 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    Cluj 0-0 Celtic

What a save from Craig Gordon.

Billel Omrani manages to find space at the edge of the box with the Celtic backline parting like a dodgy 90s haircut. The Cluj forward throttles the ball right at Gordon, but the Scotland cap does well to adjust his body to parry the ball away.

Celtic didn't look too clever there.

  15. Sparks of lifepublished at 18:12 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    Cluj 0-0 Celtic

Damjan Djokovic has just whapped a volley from 30 yards at Craig Gordon's goal that landed closer to the corner flag.

At the other end, Leigh Griffiths almost latches on to a flicked cross into the box in what is his first real sight of the ball.

    Cluj 0-0 Celtic

Former Scotland forward on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

Its not been a great start you have to say. It's a game that you have to adjust to. Some of these players haven't played in a long time. They just need to tune-in, concentrate and get back to playing the way they can play

  18. Sloppy passpublished at 18:05 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    Cluj 0-0 Celtic

A better pass and Cluj could have been in. Traore broke through the middle with a man peeling off to the left, but the through pass was easily intercepted by Bauer. Fair to say this new-look Celtic team is taking its time to gel.

  20. Jullien starting 'shaky'published at 18:01 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

    James McFadden

    Quote Message

Jullien is probably playing instead of Ajer because of his experience, but he's had a shaky start. You want your experienced players to set the standard and he hasn't done that
