  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 22 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Wigan

So nearly 2-0 to Leicester. Harvey Barnes broke free inside the Wigan penalty area and his well-struck effort bounced off the chest of David Marshall and behind for a corner.

Wigan need to stem the flow a bit here.

So disappointing for Wigan as they've started the game really, really well. They have been on the front foot but to give away a goal like that, Tom Pearce just gets his feet muddled up. For Wigan's sake I hope they can just dust themselves down and go again.

    Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-0 Manchester United

Plenty of patient possession from United but no real chances yet for the visitors. Wolves look more lively when they counter.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Luton Town

And now a chance for Luton as Harry Cornick breaks through the middle after a shambolic pass from Phil Billing, he's clean through, steadies himself and goes for goal but it's a very good save from Mark Travers. Made himself big.

Defender Chris Mepham hurt himself trying to make a block too.

Tom Pearce own goal (19 mins)

    On his debut. Ouch.

Leicester build into the area and Marc Albrighton tries to square but as a Leicester shirt gets ready to hit it, Tom Pearce simply deflects it towards goal and his keeper is bamboozled.

    It trickles home, almost painfully.

Leicester will want to play the game at their pace but Wigan won't be too disappointed with their start they have made as they've done well. They've got a nice shape about them, they're not getting pulled apart in the midfield and look solid enough, so as long as they can stay with that, Paul Cook will be happy.

    Oleksandr Zinchenko

From range with a ricochet. Deadlock broken.

Oleksandr Zinchenko picks the ball up wide left and decides it's worth a dig given the number of shirts he's faced with. It's a good hit, low, whipping, takes a flick and it's past Scott Brown and into the bottom corner.

Time to get the abacus out?

  8. Nuno getting his point acrosspublished at 17:49 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2020

    Wolves 0-0 Man Utd

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Molineux

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo was yelling at Matt Doherty and Pedro Neto to change their starting positions at a Wolves corner just then.

There appeared to be a bit of confusion about who was supposed to be going where and in the end Nuno's shrug as the corner came in suggested neither of them had got it right.

Edward Taylor: That save by Romero has to be one of the best saves of the season. Point blank range volley met with lightning quick reflexes.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Luton Town

    NO GOAL.

Poor Dominic Solanke. He did nothing wrong but Harry Wilson was offside when he headed on and the winger was right in front of Luton keeper Simon Sluga.

The correct call to chalk it off.

A big part of Leicester's attacking play are the full-backs. We've seen the likes of Ben Chilwell racing forward into space and they create a lot of chances for Leicester over the season.

  15. Pope targeting Harwood-Bellispublished at 17:45 Greenwich Mean Time 4 January 2020

    Man City 0-0 Port Vale

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

As discussed in plenty of places, Port Vale striker Tom Pope called John Stones 'a target-man's dream' among other things on social media last summer, but his comments when he was asked about those Tweets this week were far more revealing about his approach today.

When asked why he would like to play against Stones, the 34-year-old said he would always target the weaker centre-back, external of any pairing so he could win more headers.

So, not a major surprise to see him playing on Stones' 17-year-old centre-half partner Taylor Harwood-Bellis in the early minutes, rather than having the battle with the England international that everyone has been talking about.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 13 mins

    Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-0 Manchester United

What a stop! From the second Wolves corner the ball is nodded on, Matt Doherty is free at the far post and must think he has scored. Meets the ball with a brilliant volley, and somehow Sergio Romero throws up a hand to turn it away. Instincts.

    Leicester 0-0 Wigan

Wigan win a free-kick in the final third at Leicester but it's powerfully headed clear. Marc Albrighton is left on the deck and clutches his head as a Sam Morsy arm caught him on the chops.

Wigan will be happy with this start. And here they come again. A low cross from the left, hacked clear.

Latics manager Paul Cook has been sipping a coffee early on. That's gone now and he looks alert and ready for action.

Excellent defending from Brandon Williams as Adama Traore takes him on one-on-one for the first time. The big man knocks it down the line, gets there but Williams stays with him to get a block in.

From the corner it's almost 1-0 but Romain Saiss' headerflicks wide.

David Silva gets a ball in midfield and Nathan Smith buzzes in on him. No time, he's just not having it.

Over at the King Power Leicester, sporting 10 changes from their last outing, are knocking the ball around without going anywhere all too quickly.

Back at the Etihad and the aforementioned Silva gets a pull-back in the area but his touch is poor. He must have known Smith was ready to smell his aftershave again.

    Philip Billing

Bournemouth rewarded for their fine start as mammoth midfielder Philip Billing puts them ahead. It's a good cross from the left by Diego Rico, Billing is able to swivel and get a volley away and it's down, into the ground and the bounce takes it into the top corner.
