A few of you pointing out the tweet we published at 17:45 GMT actually happened in hockey, not netball.

City's finishing is getting beyond a joke now. The difference between Liverpool and City this season is, Liverpool are clinical, and City most definitely are not.

    Dave, Manchester

Watching City is a bit like watching my team Chelsea, dominating matches but not taking chances created. On a separate issue, how bad are Spurs, they are a joke of a side and look to have gone backwards under Mourinho.

    Keith, London

Do City really look like a £1.2bn team?

Kevin de Bruyne to Riyad Mahrez down the right and he cuts it back... behind Ilkay Gundogan's run onto where he expected the ball to be. Story of City's day.

City have had the ball for a minute or so. They've had 68.1% possession. Dominating in every metric bar goals.

If you think VAR has some bizarre rules spare a thought for our Netball team. Winning 1-0, match abandoned due to electrical storm. Australia awarded the win because they won the previous game.

They are very frustrated, Manchester City. Kevin de Bruyne there, throwing his arms up. They just don't look like themselves. Before the last two games they were firing in goals left, right and centre. They should be ahead, I don't know how this game is 0-0. City just have not been clinical in the final third.

Wasted chance for a chance there. Lucas Moura wins a loose ball and Dele Alli is offside as the Brazilian plays it into the box.

Manchester City have had 13 shots to Spurs' zero.

Four on target. Rodri heads over. Fourteen shots.

Where do you start with that? Raheem Sterling has put a poor ball across and it's been hit over the bar by Riyad Mahrez. It's difficult for him and he's stretching for it. He's got to finish that Sterling. He doesn't need to pass it.

Most of this game hasn't actually been that interesting but all the action has been condensed into a few mad pockets of drama.

Whaaaaat. How have City not scored?

Hugo Lloris runs into defender Japhet Tanganga as they try to stop Raheem Sterling's run. Both players are on the ground as Sergio Aguero's shot is cleared off line by Toby Alderweireld, then the loose ball comes to Riyad Mahrez who puts it over the bar from six yards out with no keeper to beat.

Spurs have an early free-kick which they can't make anything out of, and then Rodri's pass is beyond Riyad Mahrez.

I know this isn't always the point. But VAR can really ramp up the drama sometimes. That was all a lot more exciting in the first half than it would have been without VAR.

Zarar: A Tottenham win leaves Liverpool 6 games from the title

Angus Robb:Maybe someone can explain the new 10 min VAR advantage rule. What happened if Man City had scored whilst that 6 min VAR Pen check was happening? what if Spurs had scored? When the Pen was taken did the next 6 mins of the game not count? Answers on a postcard.

City goal would have stood. Spurs goal wouldn't have.

It's been eventful. Spurs have had a low block, they have defended in their own half, waited to try and counter attack. Manchester City have had all the possession but just haven't been able to break Spurs down. The penalty, the VAR - there have been a lot of talking points in that first half but so far 0-0.
