Mike Dean was just telling the players that he got the ball but I tell you what Serge Aurier, that is risky. You don't dive in.

    Spurs 0-0 Man City

I've finally seen a replay. Serge Aurier came in from the side on Sergio Aguero and didn't get the ball.

It took almost two minutes to award the penalty. Mike Dean initially gave it the 'got the ball' symbol.

Can anyone explain why the linesman still flags early for close offsides?? Earlier lacazette flagged when on goal and in this game Alli flagged. Both were onside? I thought the linesman is meant to delay flagging the close calls and leave it to VAR? Officials just don't seem to understand.

    Spurs 0-0 Man City

Almost a Spurs chance as debutant Steven Bergwijn pops up on the right wing and his cross towards Dele Alli is just headed away in time.

    Spurs 0-0 Man City

As usual there is a huge difference in opinion on social media and text. Most of you think it was a red - with one calling for the referees to be sacked. And someone has accused us of being biased - against City presumably - for suggesting Raheem Sterling escaped a red card...

Odds on Sterling now being the difference between the two sides, certain red!

Spurs send the big lads forward but Giovani lo Celso's free-kick is headed away.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 34 mins

It's a second booking for City. Kyle Walker gets the ball run and then fouls Lucas Moura in trying to get possession back.

Spurs need a bit of a respite because it is just wave after wave of Manchester City attack. They miss a number nine like Harry Kane who can just hold up the ball and give them a break.

  18. Postpublished at 32 mins

Kyle Walker to Riyad Mahrez down the right, the winger cuts onto his left foot and inswings a cross which is too high for anyone.

Spurs have only had two touches in City's penalty area so far. One shot, which was blocked.

City have had five shots - forcing two saves and hitting the post.
