    Aston Villa 2-2 Tottenham

Lovely ball from Giovani Lo Celso over to Serge Aurier on the right. He cuts it back into the centre and Pepe Reina gets a hand on it.

Kortney Hause helps it on but only as far as Steven Bergwijn in the box. His shot is then deflected over and wide!

Even if Spurs go on to win this game, can the fans really say things have improved a great deal since Mourinho took over? One or two results may have gone their way, but I don't see a massive improvement. Think a lot investment is needed.

I can't call this at the moment.

It's so end-to-end - both teams want to score as many goals as they can but they don't seem interested in defending.

Toby Alderweireld gives it straight to Anwar El Ghazi and it's switched over to the right. The cross comes in but doesn't cause any problems.

  10. CLOSE!published at 65 mins

    Aston Villa 2-2 Tottenham

How did this not go in?

Spurs can't deal with crosses as yet another Jack Grealish corner is met by an unmarked Bjorn Engels.

If he gets any decent contact on it, it's a free header, but he misreads the flight of the ball and only skims it. Anwar El Ghazi follows it up with a tame header of his own and Hugo Lloris dives to the floor to gobble it in.

    Another chance goes begging...

Son Heung-min is in space in the box on the left but doesn't shoot. He ends up turning back inside, looking for support, but doesn't find it and Villa clear.

Jack Grealish goes sprinting down the left and wins a corner.

Tottenham keep creating chances but Pepe Reina is in good form.

We could have had eight goals in this match.

  14. CLOSE!published at 61 mins

    Aston Villa 2-2 Tottenham

Oooh, another smart reaction save from Pepe Reina. Lucas Moura slips it left to Son Heung-min, who is in space on the edge of the box.

He takes one touch and hits it well but it's too close to Reina, who palms it away to his right.

Oh, nice! Harry Winks curls it brilliantly towards the back post but Dele Alli's header isn't on target. It almost falls for a team-mate in the centre before it's hooked away.

Good ball in by Jack Grealish and Bjorn Engels is there to head it in - a really good header.

Spurs will kick themselves for all the chances they've missed but it's about probably deserved for Villa.
