The roof is going to come off this place. It's a brilliant centre forward's header. The Chelsea fans are leaving in their droves. It's not 10 or 20 people - it's hundreds who are departing Stamford Bridge.

  2. VAR

Olivier Giroud's foot was offside. That's ruled out and loads of Chelsea fans are leaving.

Not been Chelsea's night at all. He was marginally offside but it's one of those which nobody would have queried a year ago.

Thomas Knights: Giroud with more quality in 1 flick than Batshuayi showed in 70 minutes. Baffling how little football Giroud has had this season.

Scandalous decisions have gone against Chelsea tonight. That could decide the champions league slot. VAR has been a complete failure this year. Should bin it off and get back to basics.

  7. Why was Zouma goal disallowed?published at 21:34 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2020

We've asked the Premier League why Kurt Zouma's equaliser was disallowed. If you're just joining us, it was ruled out for a foul on Brandon Williams by Cesar Azpilicueta, but the Chelsea defender appeared to be pushed himself by Fred.

The explanation from Stockley Park is that, in VAR Chris Kavanagh's view, the contact between Fred and Azpilicueta was normal, but Azpilicueta’s push on Williams was different as he put two hands on Williams' back and pushed him, which affected the defender's ability to clear the ball.

Bruno Fernandes is pulling the strings and playing with a swagger but United are a yard sharper than Chelsea and a yard quicker in the press.

Fifteen minutes or so left, Chelsea need to score twice but they haven't had a shot on target all game. In fact the only two efforts on target tonight have gone in. May as well have fly keepers.

  10. CLOSE!published at 72 mins

Bend it like Bruno - terrific delivery for sure.

And that's what Olivier Giroud is all about - brilliant backheel into Mateo Kovacic's path, he thinks he's scored but Eric Bailly makes a phenomenal recovery to block the shot.

    Great defending!

Lenge: The quality of the corner kick alone has paid for the transfer fee.

And that's why Bruno Fernandes should be on all set pieces, the free kick and then the corner..

Bruno Fernandes with another brilliant, brilliant ball in. Dead-ball specialist. It's deep to the far post this time, Harry Maguire nods it back and Anthony Martial would make it three but Cesar Azpilicueta is stationed under his own crossbar to nod it out.

Bruno Fernandes on the money, two arms raised above his head and that was the signal to Harry Maguire to say 'I'm going to whip this in at pace.' The delivery was first class and the header by Maguire was first class. Long way back for Chelsea now.

Manchester United have scored with both of the only two shots on target of this match, scoring two headed goals in a Premier League match for the first time since November 2017 against Newcastle.

Here's Olivier Giroud on for Michy Batshuayi.

Manchester United are betwen Wolves and Sheffield United in the table as it stands. They have ridden their luck big time tonight but it'll be a big three points if they can hang on to this.

    Still a quarter to go.

  16. goal

    Harry Maguire

He could have been sent off in the first half but that's a gem of a header from old slabhead himself Harry Maguire.

Bruno Fernandes' corner is a great one, whipped in, and captain Maguire meets it with a thumping header from 15 yards which nails into the bottom corner.

Matt Kinsky: That's a goal or a penalty, no in between

I'm a United fan and I (almost) feel sorry for Chelsea tonight. Maguire knew what he was doing in the first half and Fred clearly pushes Azpilicueta into Williams for the goal. It isn't football anymore!

Tristan Barnes: How on earth is that clear and obvious if it looks like Fred fouled Azpilicueta first?

I'm not a fan of either team, but it infuriates me that the goal was disallowed. Fred pushes Azpilacueta who, in turn, pushes Williams. Why disallow the goal?

Pedro where are you going?! He's running back towards his own goal and loses it to Fred right on the edge of the area, Fred goes down and it's a free-kick in a very dangerous spot.
