This is Michy Batshuayi's fifth Premier League start for Chelsea.

    Not this season. Ever.

That's astonishing. He's been there four years!

There's no Olivier Giroud but Chelsea's starting XI is the oldest they have named in the Premier League this season, with an average age of 28 years and 171 days.

I'm sorry but with a forward line of Willian, Batshuayi and Pedro how on earth are Chelsea planning on scoring tonight? I think Lampard's doing a fine job but his persistent snubbing of Giroud baffles me...

Willy Caballero keeps his place in goal.

Chelsea XI: Caballero, James, Christensen, Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Willian, Pedro, Batshuayi.

Mark from Stockport: I remember as a youngster at Old Trafford, can't remember the year but I must have been 7 or 8. Harry Gregg got injured and had to go off, he had injured his arm, minutes later he was back on with his arm in a sling on the right wing. Hard as nails.

Harry Gregg: The Hero of Munich

Former Manchester United and Northern Ireland goalkeeper Harry Gregg, hailed as a hero of the 1958 Munich air disaster, has died at the age of 87.

Gregg bravely rescued team-mates and other passengers following the plane crash in which 23 were killed.

When he joined United in December 1957 for £23,500 he was the world's most expensive goalkeeper and was voted the best at the following year's World Cup.

He made 25 appearances for Northern Ireland between 1954 and 1963.

The visitors will wear black armbands tonight as a mark of respect.

I can't imagine even he thought he would end up playing under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for Manchester United some four years on.

He wasn't Manchester United's first choice, I'm not sure he was their second, third or even fourth choice but if you can't get Josh King, get Ighalo, that's what I always say.

He could be a fascinating signing indeed...

Will he play tonight? We'll let you know in 13 minutes' time.

We asked you to select your combined XI from the two squads.

United goalkeeper David de Gea was the most picked player, with 91% of you wanting the Spaniard in your side.

Blues midfielder N'Golo Kante (88%) was the second-most picked player behind De Gea.

Up front, Marcus Rashford was your highest pick with 82% and Tammy Abraham made 68% of selections.

Despite being a United regular this season with 33 appearances in all competitions, Andreas Pereira was the player with the fewest picks at just 0.59%, but new signing Bruno Fernandes does make it in.

Both fallen champions. Chelsea are moving in the right direction quicker. The £38m move for Hakim Ziyech has Blues fans licking their lips. United supporters have been underwhelmed over the arrival of Odion Ighalo.

They need goals from someone but he hasn't played since 1 December, and didn't even meet his team-mates until this weekend after quarantined training precautions.

Chelsea are in danger of a fourth league game without a win for the first time since May 2016 at the start of a defining period for Frank Lampard's first season - with Spurs and Bayern to come.

But the arrival of Ziyech is really exciting. He'll be a terrific signing, and a Chelsea win should kill off United's top four hopes.

Manchester United and a place in the Champions League haven't seemed like likely bedfellows this season but win tonight and they would be just two points behind Tottenham in fifth.

And, as we all know, fifth may be good enough this year...

Chelsea, on the other hand, are already in the top four and know a win is needed to keep Chris Wilder and co at a safe distance.

They both need a win tonight.
