    Arsenal 3-2 Everton

Lovely move from Everton which started with Andre Gomes playing a great pass out wide, but Bernard loses control with the final ball and overhits it. They had the Gunners stretched there.

PSA: No pace on the ball from Everton - need to zip it around more.

Gunnersaurus would improve either of these defences.

Into the last quarter of the game. It's getting stretched as Asenal pour forwards but Nicolas Pepe goes early and he's offside.

Ade Ojelabi: Arsenal have surely turned the corner under Arteta. I am now convinced he is the right man to take the club forward.

Big Gray: Daniel Ceballos - The oil in the Arsenal engine today.

Everton on top now if anything, those changes have lifted them. Shkodran Mustafi clears two crosses away and Gylfi Sigurdsson then laces a half-volley well wide.

    Arsenal hanging on a bit?

Andre Gomes beats Dani Ceballos too with a lovely little turn - he's fouled.

    Matt Upson

For Andre Gomes to be fit to be able to train and play is amazing let alone to be already back up to match fitness to come on and play with this level of importance in a game when they are 3-2 down is remarkable.

To be trusted to come on in the middle of the pitch says something about Gomes' fitness and where the manager holds him in regard going forwards.

Sharp from Dominic Calvert-Lewin to get a shot away in a tight pocket on the edge of the box - comfortable for Bernd Leno though.

Andre Gomes is on! He replaces Morgan Schneiderlin as David Luiz and Dominic Calvert-Lewin receive treatment after a collision.

Alex Iwobi gets a nice reception from the home crowd as he too comes off, Bernard is on.

Played Mason Holgate! Cuts out a pass in defence, strides out and plays a great ball down the line with the outside of his foot. Richarlison peels into space and puts over a lovely cross, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is on the stretch and inches away from meeting that.

Andre Gomes is out warming up. It's not yet three months since he had surgery to repair a fracture dislocation to his right ankle. Incredible really.

Leighton Baines clears well at the far post.

The expression on Carlo Ancelotti's face seconds after the ball hit the net was a picture. Haunted. Fifteen minutes of half-time chat up in smoke.

    Arsenal 3-2 Everton

    Matt Upson

Well Sidibe was caught napping at the far post. It's a great header from Aubameyang, he does everything you want from your centre-forward. It's a nice cross from Pepe. It's very simple. Sidibe again has been very lacking in the defensive department today. It's a good goal from an Arsenal point of view.

Michael Grimwood: Arsenal and Everton attacking like top 4 teams and defending like relegation fodder, probably explains why they're both mid table.
