Stavros: Leap day jinx for Liverpool?Surely not!

Anonymous: Ooooh so THIS is what it feels like to be Man Utd!

Gov from London: This Liverpool team are ridiculously good, I'm not taking anything away from them. But they aren't as good as their match record suggests.

Dan from London: This is worse than anything I saw in the Roy Hodgson era. Embarrassing.

David: This is Liverpool's worst performance of the season so far. The winter break did them no good at all. They haven't looked themselves since.

Gregory: Is it time for Arsenal to get the champagne ready and celebrate as the only Invincibles of the Premier League era?

    Here's a stat for you...

Liverpool have gone two goals behind in a Premier League game for the first time since March 2018 against Manchester United at Old Trafford - that's two seasons ago - they have lost each of their last nine league games in which they have been 2+ goals behind.

  3. CLOSE!published at 67 mins

    Watford 2-0 Liverpool

What a strike from Adam Lallana!

Almost an immediate impact from the substitute. He chests the ball down outside the area and hits it left-footed on the half volley. It swings back towards goal but rattles the post.

    Would have been a scorcher.

Adam Lallana is on, and Jurgen Klopp is throwing Divock Origi into the mix, too.

Georginio Wijnaldum and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain the ones to make way.

Almost a third for Watford as the ball breaks to Will Hughes in the box, but he thumps it straight at team-mate Ismaila Sarr.

Pepe: Lovren... you can use your head you know. He jumps all the time and misses it, the one time he could have reached it he doesn’t even jump!

Conor: Lovren. The player with the most amount of errors leading to goals. What does Klopp see in him?

Dizz: No surprise to Liverpool fans that Lovrens poor defending could be the reason the run ends

Nick: Credit to Watford, they've played well but Liverpool have been off form for weeks and playing poorly - Atletico, Norwich, West Ham. Lovren looking all over the place. Liverpool look quite clueless going forward and too reliant on fullbacks

An absolutely wonderful finish from Ismaila Sarr - just the keeper to the beat and it's delightful, a little chip over him. Alisson covers his goal well, but what a finish from the guy going through on goal one-on-one.

Watford on the counter-attack looking very good.

    Ismaila Sarr (60 mins)

What a goal! That is absolutely brilliant from Watford...

Ismaila Sarr takes it with such composure, waiting for Alisson to go down and lifting the ball over the Liverpool keeper.

It all started with Will Hughes' clever back heel on the touchline, and suddenly Sarr was sprinting through on goal.

Huge for Watford in the battle to beat the drop.

Well that has put a cat amongst the pigeons! Ismaila Sarr has been a threat all night and it was always going to be that if Watford scored, he would be involved.

"We've got Super Nigel Pearson," chant the home fans. Incredible atmosphere now at Vicarage Road.

Is Liverpool's stunning winning run going to come to an end here? Long way to go yet, but the Reds have plenty to do.

    Watford 1-0 Liverpool

It's no less than Watford deserve - great play from Abdoulaye Doucoure, a good low cross into the box and Ismaila Sarr makes a breaking run into the box ahead of Andrew Robertson. A great goal from them and exactly what they deserve, they've been very good.

  14. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Watford 1-0 Liverpool

It came just after the best move of the match by Liverpool...

Virgil van Dijk decided it was time to do it himself and slid a pass between two Watford defenders like a trequartista rather than a dominant centre half.

Andrew Robertson's effort was parried by Ben Foster, and moments later the Reds were picking the ball out of their own net.

    Ismaila Sarr (53 mins)

    Wow!

The hosts work it from a throw-in, Abdoulaye Doucoure turns his man and digs out a cross and there's Ismaila Sarr to poke home, getting across Andrew Robertson to find the net from close range.

Can't argue that Watford don't deserve it.

Paul: So far, Lovern is a liability, two Watford tackles were potential leg breakers with no cards and Liverpool haven't been the same since the winter break.

Bob: Lovren is like a free goal to the other team. Shame Watford keep missing the chances.

We've barely seen Sadio Mane today. He drops out on the left and clips a cross into the area after a neat touch, but it can't breach the bank of yellow and black shirts.

    Watford 0-0 Liverpool

Virgil van Dijk is spinning his arm around, trying to get his side to up the tempo. It's all a bit easy to deal with for Watford when Liverpool have possession - the skipper wants it played quicker.

    Good save!

Watford straight on the attack again in the second half.

It's a long ball forward that Liverpool don't deal with and Roberto Pereyra slides a pass into the path of Ismaila Sarr, who see his first-time effort turned over by Alisson.
