It looks like Gareth Southgate is talking to Marcus Rashford. It looks like he'll come on soon, I think possibly for Harry Kane. He's just taking in some tactical information.

Paul Gourley: Kalvin Phillips has been superb today. Exactly what Man Utd need in Midfield. Go get him signed.

  10. CLOSE!published at 66 mins

    England 1-0 Croatia

England need to stay alert at the back.

There's a bit of pinball when Mateo Kovacic's drive is blocked and with Ante Rebic free 15 yards out, the AC Milan forward drags his shot wat wide.

Believe it or not that was also Sterling's first ever goal at a major tournament in his 13th appearance.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 64 mins

First England man into the book is Phil Foden for Josko Gvardiol slightly late.

Straight away Foden went over to Harry Kane and it didn't look good.

He's just started to get up so fingers crossed he's OK.

The stretcher is coming across but they're just taking their time with him.

He's here to score goals Harry Kane. He thought he was going to stick one in the back of the net there. This game is starting to open up now and he'll know there's a chance there for him.

Harry Kane took a heavy knock against the post after that shot and there is some concern as he needs attention from the physio.

It looked like Kane was going to put England 2-0 up. Hopefully he's alright. That's one hell of a whack hes taken against the post the England captain.

  18. CLOSE!published at 61 mins

    England 1-0 Croatia

    What?! How??

It looks all for the world to be 2-0 as Mason Mount picks out Harry Kane at the back post perfectly.

The England man shoots from a couple of yards out and Duje Caleta-Car somehow manages to get his body in the way to divert the ball over the crossbar.

Half the nation thought it was in!

And England seemed to have been struggling with their final ball and working opportunities down the right-hand side of the pitch....

Harry Kane and Phil Foden have had 39 touches between them so far while the likes of Tyrone Mings has managed 66 touches.

Kalvin Phillips and Raheem Sterling had it all sorted though.

This all came from our best player on the day, Kalvin Phillips. In that attacking position, running in behind making thing happen. He finds himself a yard of space and times the pass to perfection. It's right in the money for Raheem Sterling. It's a great run. Can he hit the target? He does exactly that. He's been another one of our star performers on the day and he deserves his goal.
