The other thing is the opposition you're against. You've just won your opening game against Poland. You've had a little bit of luck along the away and come into the second game on the front foot against a Swedish side that have just been tired out against the Spanish having no possession in the game. They aren't particularly great going forward with creativity, they've got one or two players that can hurt you. Try and go on the front foot, score the first goal and put yourself through. But we didn't see any of that from Slovakia.

Corner to Slovakia now. Send the big lads up.

  10. Postpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 18 June 2021

    Sweden 1-0 Slovakia

Six dribbles completed by Alexander Isak today (six attempted) is the most by a player in a game at Euro 2020 so far, and most by a Swedish player in a game at the tournament since Tomas Brolin at Euro 1992.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

A couple of Slovakian changes now. I didn't catch who was involved so just imagine a slightly different Slovakian team to what there was before.

You're always one deflection, one wonder goal, one penalty decision away from losing the game and Slovakia have been [unadventurous] the second half. Even the first half.

    Here's an earlier Sweden chance.

Chance for Sweden to put this one to bed. Alexander Isak hurdles a couple of tackles excellently. The loose ball lands to Viktor Claesson, whose shot is blocked.

Here was a nice Martin Dubravka save in happier times for the Slovaks.

    Sweden 1-0 Slovakia

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

Great penalty - Martin Dubravka goes the right way so you have to get enough pace on it to beat him. He puts it right in that bottom corner. Sweden have deserved that in the second half, they've got fresh legs, the two young boys have been a threat going forward. Great finish.
