    Sweden 0-0 Slovakia

A nice ball in from Ludwig Augustinsson on the left wing, Seb Larsson is in the centre but his header is wide.

Not sure Larsson is the man you'd want on the end of a cross.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 24 mins

    Sweden 0-0 Slovakia

Kristoffer Olsson, who was warned earlier, gets the first booking of the game as he clipped Juraj Kucka to stop a Slovakia counter.

Sweden have a corner, which is half cleared to Seb Larsson, whose 25-yard half-volley hits a Slovakia defender.

  5. 'I expect more creativity from Sweden'published at 14:21 British Summer Time 18 June 2021

    Sweden 0-0 Slovakia

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

Sweden's strengths are ultimately in being well organised in defence, and they will also think they have a good chance in the final game [against Poland] - so they wouldn't mind a draw too much today.

I don't like that mindset. There's no fun in it. The players want to show their quality. I expect more from Sweden in terms of creativity as the game goes on.

    Sweden 0-0 Slovakia

Each side had one chance in the opening five minutes. Nothing since.

This is a decent spell of Sweden pressure but Slovakia are holding their shape well.

Sweden are dominating possession - Slovakia are happy to sit in at the moment and play on the counter-attack. They will want to have a bit of possession though because you don't want to defend for the entire time - eventually there will be tired legs and tired minds.

Apologies, it's been a while since I did an actual update of action. That's because I was waiting for something to happen.

Let's be honest if you were going to give two or three games a skip in the group stages, this would be one, wouldn't it?

Great ball from Seb Larsson, nine times out of 10 he puts it on the money. That's where Sweden are going to be a threat, putting good deliveries into the box like that.

  11. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Sweden 0-0 Slovakia

Sweden keeper Robin Olsen is given a lot to do with a weak backpass but he manages to clear before Marek Hamsik can close him down.

It's Sebastian Larsson who whips in this free-kick but Mikael Lustig is under pressure and heads over the bar. Not really a chance.

Clever by Marcus Berg as he races onto an Alexander Isak ball down the right. He's going nowhere with it and feels a touch by a defender on his back so goes down to win a free-kick.

  16. Postpublished at 11 mins

Sweden get a couple of crosses into the mixer but Marcus Berg then fouls Peter Pekarik so it's a free out.

Alexander Isak showed against Spain that he has good feet and doesn't panic when he gets into the box.

  18. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Sweden 0-0 Slovakia

Kristoffer Olsson catches Robert Mak and the ref indicates that's his second foul. Next one and he's booked, you'd imagine.

    Sweden 0-0 Slovakia

Sweden corner now as Alexander Isak, who was a livewire against Spain, has a cross blocked.

Emil Forsberg's corner is low and cleared.

    Sweden 0-0 Slovakia

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

People didn't expect Slovakia to get much from their opening game against Poland. They can play with a bit more freedom today and really go after Sweden.
