    Emil Forsberg is going to be an important player for Sweden, coming in off the left hand side. He doesn't play like a natural winger, he always comes into little pockets. Seb Larsson is the same on the right hand side. It's been a positive start from Sweden.

    We played against Slovakia a couple of times, and in [Euro] 2016. They fly under the radar a little bit, technically they're a very good team.

    They get into clever positions, they get in between lines and they are a very good football team.

    The Fotbollskanalen, external website today carries comments from assistant manager Peter Wettergren, who compared manager Janne Andersson's pre-match team talks to a "kind of Braveheart routine".

    "When he opens his mouth, it gets very quiet in the room."

    Expressen newspaper has posted a video, external from (rather crowded) bar in Russia which Swedish fans have turned completely blue and yellow. One fan says that the mood is “magical” and “pure electricity” as the reporter is jostled by a Swedish conga.

    And spare a thought for this fan, external who thought he'd "cracked the system" by securing a Covid jab during the second half. "Who would even open for vaccination at that time?" he asks.

    This game was initially meant to be played in Dublin but it was moved down the road (1500 miles down the road...) to St Petersburg instead because Ireland couldn't guarantee allowing crowds.

    Slovakia defender Denis Vavro and another staff member have tested positive for Covid this week.

    Vavro did not play in the Poland game.

    Sweden duo Dejan Kulusevski and Mattias Svanberg missed the Spain game after tesing positive but they're both available now.

    Kulusevski is on the bench, but Svanberg isn't involved.
