Water is wet.

Oh that's nice from the Czechs. Vladimir Coufal gets forward down the right, as he does so often for West Ham.
He cuts it back inside and there's a few nice touches as they keep the ball in a tight area.
England push them back though, before Declan Rice is penalised for a foul in the middle.

He's got terrific pace Raheem Sterling. Nobody in that back four are going to catch him. He gets in before the keeper and does everything right apart from put it in the net. It hits the post and comes away.

It's a bright start by England too!
Jack Grealish carries it forward with Wembley roaring in the backdrop. He lays it off to Luke Shaw to his left and he wins a throw-in.

It was a bright start by the Czech Republic. They went and pushed England quite high from the kick-off. I think the Czechs are up for this. They want to win the group as well. A lot of people are thinking they will be quite happy to finish second, but with the way they've started I can't see that at all.

Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge and President of the Football Association looks like he's ready to cheer on Gareth Southgate's side.
He'll be enthused by the start England have made.
Czech Republic 0-0 England
Wow! England are almost 1-0 up in under two minutes!
Luke Shaw lifts a brilliant ball over the top for Raheem Sterling to chase. He's made an excellent run, chips it over the keeper but it bounces off the outside of the right post.
OOOFT.
Czech Republic 0-0 England
Jordan Pickford launches it over to Luke Shaw on the left but his touch is a little heavy.
It's back with Harry Maguire seconds later though.

Karen Carney
Former England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live
It's starting to get a bit lively now. It's starting to fill up behind me. The atmosphere is definitely building. Just seen a few players on the screen, the music is playing, the fans are jumping up and down and the stand behind me in particularly is very very lively and hopefully it gets more lively with a few goals. I'm really lucky that England are coming towards me this first half.

England need to win to finish top. A draw will be enough for Czech Republic to top the group.
