It's very strange to be contemplating that we have seen the very final major tournament contribution of Cristiano Ronaldo. He's such a staple part of any international event.

Mind you, if he keeps on the water, he could well end up playing until he's 50.

You've got to say Portugal were probably the better team on the night. Belgium just defended in numbers and the goalkeeper when called upon made the saves. They got a bit wasteful on the counter attack in the last 15 minutes, they could have put the game to bed.

For me, Portugal same old problem. Don't get enough people in the box when you're crossing balls in. It's all shots. They don't get enough players around Ronaldo and they've paid the price again. Belgium used all that experience they've got and defended really, really well.

Some foolish cameraman is sticking his camera right in the face of Pepe, who nods at him but whose eyes speak of much fouler things he'd like to do.
