Belgium 1-0 Portugal
The flag is up to deny Dries Mertens, who just for a moment looked to be goal-side. It is the first real flash of Belgium in an attacking sense for a while.

Jotaaaaaa.... no!
Cristiano Ronaldo runs with the ball, plays a one-two with a team-mate to drive inside from the right and then finds Diogo Jota in the box.
He is able to turn and sharply shoot, but fires his effort over the bar.
If that was first half of the domestic season Jota that ends up in the net.

I've got to say Belgium look very comfortable. They're 1-0 up and Portugal are starting to ask more questions, but Belgium are dealing with it very well.

Joao Felix and Bruno Fernandes enter the action. Not a bad couple of subs when you need some creativity.
Portugal's depth of talent stretches to Mariana Trench levels.

Romelu Lukaku gives Youri Tielemans both barrels as the midfielder smashes a pass that is meant for the striker, but is only there to be collected if he goes all Barry Allen.
He certainly lets you know when he's not happy, the big striker.

John Ellinson: Is it me or does Eden Hazard look like he's coming into form at just the right time for Belgium?
Belgium 1-0 Portugal
If Portugal want to get back into this, they could do a lot worse than getting the ball to Renato Sanches. He is the driving force. Cristiano Ronaldo is not a man to do it all by himself these days, but he can be brought into it with the right service.

Silly booking. Diogo Dalot fouls Eden Hazard and then boots the ball away.

There is no way De Bruyne's departure doesn't give Portugal a bit of a boost. They need to step their own game up, though, to make the most of it.

De Bruyne is a top top player. We know that. He really did twist his ankle. It's gone right over. Whether it's spread to his knee or not, he really does not look happy at all. Let's hope it's just a twist and he'll be back.
Belgium 1-0 Portugal
Dries Mertens is a serious player. He is on for Kevin de Bruyne, though, who is an even more serious player.
Belgium 1-0 Portugal
De Bruyne's evening is over. It is the challenge from Palhinha that has done it.
Belgium 1-0 Portugal
This could be a big moment. Kevin de Bruyne is on his haunches. He does not look well.
Belgium 1-0 Portugal
Joao Palhinha is chancing his arm. He fells Eden Hazard but it is just a foul. Another booking and he is off.

Portugal will be patient. I don't think they will go for it straight away, they will do what they've been doing. Maybe they can bring on Bruno Fernandes after 15-20 minutes if it's not happened. Joao Felix is another talented player who can change a game.
Belgium 1-0 Portugal
More like the last five minutes of the first half and less like the preceding 40 please, lads.
We are under way.

Axel Witsel enjoyed it.
Ric Flair 'wooooooo'.

The ITV pundits have savaged poor Rui Patricio. Yeah, it wasn't a great effort at a save but his defenders did all desert him. Almost a full on Monty Python's King Arthur-style "run away!"
