Croatia's goal has been credited as an own goal by Pedri by Opta. It looked like it brushed Unai Simon's boot on its way into the net.

Either way, it was an awful goal to concede.

It’s not an accident. Unai Simon in La Liga has the record for mistakes leading to most goals conceded – eight – in a season. We know Simon will play whatever happens though because David De Gea is injured and Robert Sanchez is young.

He won't sleep tonight that is for sure. He won't improve over the next three or days in training either.

He is a goalkeeper who makes mistakes and a lot of those mistakes come when he's forced to play the ball.

I'm still backing Spain. Credit to them in all honesty, when something like that happens. To go behind 1-0 to that bizarre own goal, and then to get back in the game at a crucial time.

Sarabia putting them back level in 39 minutes is so big in terms of this half time team talk for Luis Enrique.

Will this go all the way to pens? It would certainly give Unai Simon a chance to redeem himself. I've just seen a replay of the own goal. The back-pass came from almost inside the centre circle. It brushed Simon's boot on its way into the net.

Nice passing move leading to a goal. Classic Spain right...

    This game is superb.

I know that the own goal is so out of the blue, but player for player on this pitch is so entertaining. You've got so much quality, players cancelling each other out and Croatia look like they're going to score on every attack.

You cannot call this. Spain started brightly, unravelled after a disastrous own goal before getting themselves back on level terms. Croatia look a threat on the counter.
