    That is what the Spanish needed. They've been knocking on the door this entire first half. They've created some really good chances and haven't put them away. This one is possibly the hardest of the lost. It falls nicely for Sarabia, gets the deflection and they needed that little bit of luck to get back on level terms. If it goes in at 1-1, it's about right.

    Spain level it up as Pablo Sarabia lashes home from about 10 yards after the keeper palms a shot into his path.

    It's an instinctive finish and Sarabia celebrates with a salute.

    Kevin Maltby: As a fellow goalkeeper, I feel Simón's pain. Croatia must love goals like this after the Neville/Robinson error in 2006.

    Stew Herd: Yes terrible misjudgement from Simon - but I blame the defender for making the back pass on target.

    Charlie: Spain really are their own worst enemy. Within 20 minutes they miss 2 sitters, and then their goalkeeper has an absolute nightmare. Shocking!
