  8. Postpublished at 86 mins

Man City 0-1 Man Utd (agg 3-2)

Nicolas Otamendi has some tidying up to do as Bernardo Silva plays a careless ball across the edge of his own area. That's what Manchester United need, a slip in concentration at the back for them to pounce on.

This is a close one. I think the linesman's just got that one right. His right leg is just off.

  10. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 84 mins

Man City 0-1 Man Utd (agg 3-2)

Lovely finish by Sergio Aguero... wait! The linesman's flag is up for offside.

The striker had just strayed off before flicking the ball into the far corner.

VAR has a check but the original decision to disallow the goal stands.

Man City 0-1 Man Utd (agg 3-2)

Kyle Walker and Nicolas Otamendi challenge for the same ball and Walker comes off much worse, taking a knock to the head. Actually, it doesn't appear too bad and after a minute to collect himself he can continue.

  12. Postpublished at 80 mins

Into the final 10 minutes. Can Manchester United find that elusive second goal that would level the tie? They need to get the ball first...

This is a breathtaking game. It's being played at 100mph.

United have to come out and try to get that second goal.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 78 mins

Ilkay Gundogan lashes well over from the edge of the box as Manchester City continue to press.

Manchester United are down to 10 men!

Midfielder and goalscorer Nemanja Matic brings down Ilkay Gundogan and is shown a second yellow card.

Is that the end of Manchester United's hopes of taking this to penalties?

Pep Guardiola was furious with David Silva just then.

I don't think he could believe the Manchester City midfielder failed to shoot when gifted that recent chance.

    All very odd.

  18. Postpublished at 74 mins

Man City 0-1 Man Utd (3-2 agg)

Pressure mounting as David Silva finds himself in the middle of the box but unselfishly passes to Ilkay Gundogan, who gets the ball trapped between his feet and he is eventually closed down.

City quickly regain possession but this time Sergio Aguero drives into the sidenetting.

It is a good job City don't need to score (as things stand) because the shooting boots have been very much left at home.

It was straight down De Gea's throat, luckily for United, because either side of him it was going in - it was struck that sweetly.

  20. Postpublished at 71 mins

Man City 0-1 Man Utd (3-2 agg)

Manchester City win another corner - their eighth of the game - it is cleared to Kyle Walker on the edge of the box and the full-back's shot is fierce but straight at David de Gea.
