I was a little late arriving at the Etihad Stadium tonight but I was surprised just how many fans were still outside 10 minutes after kick-off.

I would estimate there were at least a couple of thousand rushing about or still queuing to get in.

What with the supporters who routinely leave before the final whistle, I wonder what percentage of ticket holders actually watch the entire game.

Sergio Aguero breaks across the edge of the box, playing a one-two with Raheem Sterling before bending an effort towards the top corner but David de Gea gets a strong hand to it to push behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.

Still, it feels like only a matter of time before the hosts make the breakthrough with the way they are playing.

City have had 73% of possession so far, and it feels like most of that has been in the United half, but the visitors have at least just had a spell where they have strung a few passes together for the first time tonight, even if they still have got nowhere near Claudio Bravo's goal.
