    Brentford 3-1 QPR

QPR captain Grant Hall looks like he'll get away with a late challenge on Ollie Watkins.

The centre-back is on a yellow card and takes down the forward on halfway as the Bees mount an attack.

Referee John Brooks plays advantage but, when the move breaks down, doesn't even have a word with Hall about it.

    Brentford 3-1 QPR

Brentford look slightly rattled for the first time in the game.

QPR have stepped up their urgency and pressing since the break.

    Nahki Wells

    Here we go!

Bright Osayi-Samuel gets the ball on the right wing and stands up Brentford left-back Rico Henry.

The winger plays a quick one-two with Luke Amos and races into the Bees area to get behind the defence.

Osayi-Samuel then squares the ball for Nahki Wells, who has wriggled clear of the defence, for a tap-in.

That is Wells' 12th league goal of the campaign and will give the visitors a bit of belief.

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

Brentford fail to make anything from then corner.

QPR then look to mount a counter attack, but Nahki Wells gives away a free-kick midway inside the Bees half.

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

Ollie Watkins heads a deep cross from Josh Dasilva from the left flank back across goal.

Grant Hall shanks his clearance behind for a corner.

  6. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

Said Benrahma takes on the shot again, but this one goes straight into the arms of R's keeper Joe Lumley.

He didn't have to move far from the centre of his goal either.

  7. YELLOW CARD (Kane)published at 56 mins

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

Just as I say that, Brentford intercept the ball and launch a lightening counter-attack.

Said Benrahma races forward and is cynically brought down by Todd Kane, who get a yellow card.

This is in almost exactly the same position as the free-kick at the start of the half, some 25 yards out to the left-hand side of the D.

  8. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

QPR have definitely improved since the break, and are enjoying more of the ball.

But the visitors still have a mountain to climb here after being picked apart in the first half.

  9. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

A good passing move from QPR sees Bright Osayi-Samuel get into the area chasing a ball over the top from Todd Kane.

But the offside flag is up - although it was a close call.

  10. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

Rangers have had a bit more possession to start the second half, but haven't been able to create anything of note.

Geoff Cameron has a dig from all of 30 yards out, which skews well wide of David Raya's right-hand upright.

  11. CLOSE!published at 47 mins

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

Said Benrahma picks himself up, dusts himself down and takes the free-kick himself.

The sends the ball over the wall and into the side-netting.

He was peeling away to celebrate, and a few fans thought it was in too.

  12. YELLOW CARD (Hall)published at 46 mins

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

A great turn by Said Benrahma sends the Algerian spinning past Grant Hall and the QPR captain grasping at air.

He gets a piece of Benrahma too, giving the Bees a free-kick just outside the area and picking up a yellow card himself.

    Rangers start the second half.

Mark Warburton's side have endured a chastening afternoon so far.

Conor Masterson has come on at centre-back for the R's, in place of Dominic Ball.

Can the visitors get back into the game in the second 45 minutes?

  14. Spence rewarded after Boro risepublished at 13:33 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Middlesbrough v Derby (15:00 GMT)

Middlesbrough are one of the form teams in the Championship, having won four straight games to move up to 16th in the table.

That run, which has lifed Boro 10 points clear of the relegation zone, saw boss Jonathan Woodgate named Manager of the Month for December.

Meanwhile, defender Djed Spence won the EFL Young Player of the Month after breaking into the club's first team.

Boro host Derby later this afternoon.

Away from west London, a reminder the Championship's top two are in action later this afternoon.

Leeds United sit top of the tier on goal difference after drawing at second-placed West Brom on New Year's Day.

The Whites entertain Sheffield Wednesday, who have lost their past three games in a Yorkshire derby.

Meanwhile the Baggies go to a Charlton side who have won just one of their past 15 games in all competitions.

There are 10 Championship matches kicking off at 15:00 GMT, with a full programme in League One and League Two.

    HT: Brentford 3-0 QPR

Is there a better front trio in the Championship than Said Benrahma, Bryan Mbeumo and Ollie Watkins?

I can't think of one. They were superb in that first half.

Bees head coach Thomas Frank refers to the trio as the BMW. And it is running pretty smoothly right now.

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

Brentford are in firm control of the west London derby at the break.

Goals from front three Said Benrahma, Bryan Mbeumo and Ollie Watkins mean the Bees are moving six points off the automatic promotion places as things stand.

QPR haven't been at the races.

Brentford win a corner in the final few seconds of additional time.

  20. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Brentford 3-0 QPR

A collision between Brentford defender Pontus Jansson and QPR striker Nahki Wells leaves both players on the ground.

That's a bit naughty from the Bees skipper, who tripped the Bermuda striker as Wells was trying to get on the end of a through ball into the Brentford area.

The officials didn't spot it though.

Both players need a bit of treatment and, in the meantime, we are into two minutes of added time at the end of the first half.
