    QPR 1-0 Leeds

Leeds winger Jack Harrison has been influential in this second half.

He rises highest to Luke Ayling's looping cross but heads well wide.

You feel on-loan Manchester City man Harrison will play a part if the visitors are to get back into this.

Bright Osayi-Samuel will try to take on everyone and everything.

This time he is seen off by three Leeds defenders and Jack Harrison thrashes a low ball across the six-yard box which is gobbled up by QPR keeper Liam Kelly.

David Turner: Watch any Premier League game this season and you can see why we don’t want VAR in The Championship.

BonBonB: Handball rule is wrong. Non-deliberate, non-game-affecting, shouldn't be penalised. Accidental control leading to a shot/goal, that's handball. Accidental blocking a shot on target, that's handball. Common sense has been lost.

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

Jack Harrison ghosts inside and picks out Mateusz Klich at the back post but the cross is low, weak and to no-one.

Leeds do win a corner but Liam Cooper's header doesn't trouble Liam Kelly.

  5. SECOND HALFpublished at 13:34 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

Team talks done and dusted, it's down to the players now.

Leeds make a change - Ezgjan Alioski on for Stuart Dallas, who was booked in the first half and struggled to contain QPR dangerman Bright Osayi-Samuel.

If it stays like this QPR will move to within four points of the play-offs (before the 15:00 GMT games), while Leeds could finish the day just three points above third place.

Ian Gould: The basic premise of the laws of the game are to prevent gaining an advantage from foul play (including handball) - QPR’s goal was ‘handled’ not once but twice.

Fulham moved up to third in the Championship as Anthony Knockaert's early goal gave them victory over in-form Middlesbrough at Craven Cottage on Friday.

Knockaert capped a blistering opening half an hour from the hosts with what proved to be the winner, meeting Joe Bryan's low fizzing cross to tap home at the far post.

The hosts were able to see the game out relatively comfortably to leapfrog Brentford and close the gap to the automatic promotion places to four points.

    What are we thinking then?

Have Leeds been unfortunate? How impressed have you been with QPR? Is there anything wrong with the lack of VAR in the Championship, or the handball rule?

Nahki Wells scoresImage source, PA Media

Leeds trail to a Nakhi Wells strike, which should have been ruled out for handball in the build-up - no matter what handball rule you listen to.

But no VAR in the Championship means QPR are ahead, and they've arguably looked more threatening than their visitors despite having far less of the ball.

  11. INJURY TIMEpublished at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

QPR successfully play out from the back but the home faithful sound a tad nervous about their defenders attempting tiki-taka when up against the high Leeds press.

One minute is added on at the end of this very watchable first half.

  12. YELLOW CARD (Dallas)published at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

The ball goes out of play for a throw-in and several players - on both sides - are visibly gasping for air.

    It's been a high-intensity half.

Leeds left-back Stuart Dallas once again cannot stop Bright Osayi-Samuel so tugs him down and gets booked.

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is perched on his infamous bucket, wondering what he can do to prevent it being just one win in seven Championship games for his side.

On the pitch QPR's Ilias Chair winds up Kalvin Phillips, but it's just a bit of handbags.

Should VAR be used in the Championship?

QPR celebrate Nahki Wells' goalImage source, PA Media

Tom Bell: Do not introduce VAR to the Championship... that is coming from a Wolves fan. It will ruin the game.

Gavin Butler: Surely the issue is not whether VAR is in the Championship but rather that the handball law is wrong. Accidental handball should not be penalised. Declan Rice disallowed goal a few weeks ago decided by VAR was wrong. Wells goal not deliberate hand ball.

We're asking the question because Eberechi Eze's free-kick struck Nahki Wells on the arm before he tapped in the only goal so far.

  15. YELLOW CARD (Wells)published at 37 mins

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

QPR goalscorer Nahki Wells goes in the book for a late challenge on - you guessed it - Pablo Hernandez.

Leeds look to build another attack and win a corner...

  16. CLOSE!published at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

QPR striker Nahki Wells miskicks in the box - and not for the first time.

He's completely unmarked from Eberechi Eze's free-kick, possibly offside but there's no flag and he should probably score.

At the other end Patrick Bamford wrestles past Conor Masterson but his attempted lob over QPR keeper Liam Kelly is well off-target.

  17. Postpublished at 34 mins

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

A penalty shout on Helder Costa turned down and a Nahki Wells goal which shouldn't have stood - is this turning into another hard-luck story for Leeds in London?

Their fans are bellowing from the away end and they've shown enough promise to suggest they can turn this around.

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

What QPR do have when they win the ball back is PACE. Lots of it.

Eberechi Eze and Bright Osayi-Samuel spring clear, the latter laying off the ball for Ilias Chair, who shoots wide.

The visitors are consistently getting to the edge of the QPR box now, but the final ball is just an inch off every time.

It feels like something may well click for Leeds soon, though.

They waste a corner but QPR cannot get out for now as Eberechi Eze fouls Helder Costa.

  20. Postpublished at 27 mins

    QPR 1-0 Leeds

Leeds work an opening down the right and Mateusz Klich crosses for Patrick Bamford, who takes a touch and sees a low shot saved wide by the knees of Liam Kelly.

It was a tight angle but a half-decent effort from Leeds' one and only striker.
