  5. 'Lamela has been a threat'published at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2020

    Spurs 0-1 RB Leipzig

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Lamela has been impressive since he has come on. He has carried the ball well, he has been very positive, he has taken people on and taken the ball forward. He has been a threat every time he has got the ball.

  6. Postpublished at 79 mins

    Spurs 0-1 RB Leipzig

Serge Aurier is FURIOUS as he doesn't get a free-kick on the right wing after being blocked off by Marcel Halstenberg. Jose Mourinho has taken it well too...

Phil Kemp: Jose says Troy Parrott isn't ready, but on this evidence, it appears none of our front line is "ready" - surely Parrott becomes a credible option after this?

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 77 mins

Leipzig add some more legs to the frontline as Yussuf Poulsen replaces Patrik Schick.

Never write a Jose team off, let the naysayers worry. Spurs will nick a draw or win here and go through. He us still a master tactician.

    Steve, Swindon

40% possession at home. Yet again it's a poor performance. How much longer do we have to suffer another Mourinho masterclass?

  10. 'Great attempt from Lo Celsopublished at 21:33 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2020

    Spurs 0-1 RB Leipzig

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

That is a really good position for a free-kick. A number of players fancied it but it's Lo Celso that hit it. The keeper just moved enough to get a touch on it and hit it on the post. Great attempt. It's got the crowd going but can they finish strongly now?

James Lynch: This RB Leipzig team is built on youth, and play a very fast attack-minded game; very similar to Ajax. Spurs lost the 1st leg at home to Ajax last season 0-1, they're losing the 1st leg this season at home to RB 0-1. This tie's second leg could be very interesting..

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Spurs 0-1 RB Leipzig

Leipzig make a change in midfield. Amadou Haidara replaces the booked Christopher Nkunku.

  13. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 74 mins

    Spurs 0-1 RB Leipzig

As close as Spurs have been. It's a wondeful 25-yard free-kick by Giovani lo Celso, which is curling towards the far post. The diving Peter Gulacsi gets a crucial hand to it and turns it off the post.

  14. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Spurs 0-1 RB Leipzig

A Spurs goal would be against the run of play. But you've seen this happen so many times.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 72 mins

    Spurs 0-1 RB Leipzig

Free-kick to Spurs on the edge of the box as Christopher Nkunku fouls Giovani lo Celso. Both former PSG players.

    Nkunku is booked.

  16. 'Spurs have not had time on the ball'published at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2020

    Spurs 0-1 RB Leipzig

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Lamela looks like he is being positive with the ball. I am just waiting for Spurs to have that period in the game where they have possession and have time on the ball to play their game but it has just not happened yet.

  17. Postpublished at 69 mins

    Spurs 0-1 RB Leipzig

Are Leipzig just starting to sit back now? Spurs are having more of the ball and Ethan Ampadu has just blasted the ball forward to safety, with no Leipzig players on the Spurs half.

  18. Postpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2020

    Atalanta 4-1 Valencia

Denis Cheryshev has only been on a couple of minutes but he's given Valencia a glimmer of hope with a 25-yard drive about some dreadful Atalanta defending.

  19. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Spurs 0-1 RB Leipzig

Marcel Sabitzer, with a name which just screams long-range piledrivers, has a go from distance but it's blocked.

Lam: I hate to say it, but this Spurs team without Son and Kane just don’t know how to score goals. They are a defender's dream, the fear factor is non existent.

Ruz: This is one of the most abject Spurs performances I've seen in a long time, and I've seen a fair few! Absolutely gutless.
