  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

I think we can all agree you're an idiot if you get a booking for dissent which rules you out of the next game? Chelsea midfielder Jorginho won't be playing the second leg.

So close for Chelsea - but it wouldn't have counted. Mason Mount charges forward but the super speedy Alphonso Davies comes from nowhere to stop him - not for the first time tonight. Ross Barkley has a shot from the loose ball but it's saved by Manuel Neuer.

And then the offside flag goes up.

  3. 'Lampard's game plan is working'published at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

What would Frank Lampard's message have been at half-time?

Defend strongly, stay in the game and try and break out with pace and try to create chances.

I don't think Chelsea are good enough to go toe-to-toe with Bayern Munich. They are a really accomplished slick outfit. The game plan is working for Frank at the moment.

  4. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Napoli 1-0 Barcelona

    SHKO (second half kicks off).

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

    The second half begins.

Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I'm quite impressed by the way that Chelsea have managed to hold out. Bayern Munich have been the better team but I've been really impressed by Olivier Giroud. I was really happy that Frank Lampard went 3-4-3.

  7. 'Chelsea are still in this game'published at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport: "What I'd love to see from Chelsea in the next half is more of this, they're still in this game and they're creating chances. Bayern will be thinking we can still get something out of this."

Akinpelu Kayode A: Well played Bayern, but Chelsea are doing themselves a favour with the scoreline and approach. The longer Chelsea keep Bayern out, the more Willian could be a joker in the last 20mins with his pace and directness

  9. 'Right call to pick Caballero over Kepa'published at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Willy Caballero has been Chelsea's man of the match so far. He's made three or four big saves, unorthodox but good saves. It was a big call by Frank Lampard to pick him and leave Kepa Arrizabalaga out but at the moment it's been the right one.

  10. Mertens has 'unbelievable record'published at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Napoli 1-0 Barcelona

Former England striker Peter Crouch on BT Sport: "Dries Mertens has a lot to do and it's a top, top class finish. It's an unbelievable record (to become Napoli's joint all-time top scorer). The people he's passed - they're top notch. We've seen the quality of him there."

  11. 'Neuer has a massive head and ego'published at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

We're seeing typical Manuel Neuer. He gave the ball away and then ran out and berated his defenders. He's got a massive head and a massive ego.

  12. Postpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Napoli 1-0 Barcelona

Barcelona have only scored two goals in their last eight and a half games in the Champions League knockout stages away from home.

  13. Chelsea holding onpublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Bayern Munich had the better of that half but Chelsea have kept it goalless and are still right in it.

Just wonder if Ross Barkley will make the cut for the second half. He has struggled so far.

  14. 'A top-class game'published at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's been a thoroughly enjoyable first half. It is a top-class game. Bayern Munich have been the better side but there is something there for Chelsea.

Thomas Muller had the biggest opportunity. He tried the back header but I think he had time to do a normal header.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Napoli 1-0 Barcelona

Half-time in Italy too. Barca trail in Europe - not for the first time.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

The half-time whistle goes. Chelsea will be happy with their first-half performance, although Bayern Munich had the best chance when Thomas Muller's header hit the bar.

  17. Postpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

Ross Barkley did really well, there was nothing else on. It was a sharp turn and he drew the foul from Thiago.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

Bayern midfielder Thiago fouls Ross Barkley and gets a booking. None of the Bayern players are one booking away from a ban - apart from Thiago after that one.

  19. Postpublished at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2020

Bayern have a corner now as Reece James takes the ball off Serge Gnabry's foot. Willy Caballero punches it away.

    Chelsea 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Bayern Munich are the better side, we expected that. They've dominated possession and created the better chances but there is something there for Chelsea.
