Ronan Curtis has injected some life into the home side. The Republic of Ireland international has a pop at goal from distance, rather speculatively. Meat and drink for Emiliano Martinez.

And Pompey won't get that goal like this. A cross from the left drifts wayward before Ronan Curtis slips as he tries to deliver from the right bye-line.

Portsmouth need a goal to get the crowd going and get everything moving. It's quiet here at the moment.

And the next delivery comes to nothing for the visitors.

Back to the live action... Arsenal are pressing for a third. A corner is swung in from the left, Sokratis goes up for it and claims the ball hits Christian Burgess' hand. It doesn't. It hits his midriff and goes out for another corner.

  8. DOUBLE SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 66 mins

    Portsmouth 0-2 Arsenal

It's that time. Pompey boss Kenny Jackett throws caution to the wind - he has to - and brings on John Marquis and Ronan Curtis.

The pair have 27 goals between them. Two will do.

    Portsmouth 0-2 Arsenal

Arsenal's midfield is continuing to strangle the life out of Pompey. Pass, pass, pass. Plenty of patience.

Not surprised to see Guendouzi has had more touches than anyone else on the pitch. The Gunners holding midfielder has had 66 touches - more than double that of Pompey's leading man, Steve Seddon.

Arsenal still content to knock the ball around at the back, making Pompey chase shadows. Matteo Guendouzi at the heart of everything.

Eddie Nketiah. Discuss. Going to be the new Ian Wright (no pressure) or not?

The Gunners striker has scored in three of his last four starts for Arsenal, taking his tally this season to eight goals from 16 shots on target in all competitions this season for Leeds and the Gunners combined.

Despite Arsenal's dominance, the home fans are still singing away as if they're 5-0 up.

Confidence oozing from Arsenal now. Slick passing, sharper movement, Pompey barely had a kick in the last minute or two.

Hard to see a way back for Portsmouth now. And if they find one then the Arsenal players might find themselves walking home.

"Wem-ber-leeee! Wem-ber-leeee!" sing the... Portsmouth fans.

They will be there for EFL Trophy soon enough. Arsenal fans less sure there will be there for the FA Cup final in May.

Much better in the first bit of the second half. It was a good run down the right side and a good cross. Nketiah was a bit fortunate after his first touch but it ends in the back of the net.

He didn't do well for Bielsa at Leeds but he's looked really lively today.

It will be difficult for Portsmouth now because Arsenal will keep the ball.

Who you gonna call? Eddie Nketiah.

The Arsenal forward isn't picked up by the Pompey defence and he connects. It's a sloppy goal from a Pompey point of view, Nketiah bundling his way though and hacking home.

That shot from Williams is Pompey's ninth of the evening - and the first on target.
