Cameron McGeehan got away with one earlier - not this time. The Pompey midfielder is late on Joe Willock and ref Mike Dean goes straight for the side pocket.

James Bolton not only has a strong challenge on him, he also has a strong throw. Pompey pack the box, but Arsenal stand firm and clear.

Daft from Matteo Guendouzi. The Arsenal man tries to twice take a free-kick quickly, but Mike Dean twice tells him to go back. So the Frenchman theatrically picks up the ball with both hands, puts them above his head and crashes it onto the right spot.

Like an NBA match this... now it is Pompey's turn to spring forward. A promising attack doesn't lead to a chance though and the groans from the Pompey fans tell you everything.

Nicely balanced this one. First goal? No idea. Arsenal burst up the other end and nearly get it, Reiss Nelson cutting open the Pompey defence and Gabriel Martinelli somehow bundling over the bar from a few yards out.

Portsmouth chiming again. Marcus Harness in another good position on the left, but he spoons his cross into the Fratton End.

Just before he crossed it I saw Gareth Evans make the run. The ball is so well set up for him. He'll be disappointed he didn't get that on target.

Best chance of the match. And it lands on the head of Pompey's Gareth Evans.

Nice work on the left from Steve Seddon, getting to the bye-line and picking out the onrushing Evans. He has a run on the ball but his header goes down into the turf and bounds harmlessly wide.

Stuart Eccles: Red card all day long that. It's not "industrial", it's not a "cup challenge", it's not "laying down a marker" it's a foul and it's a red....unless your Mike Dean.

Paul: I'm an Arsenal fan but that was a great tackle by Bolton. Takes ball fully then the man. Just unlucky for both him and Torreira that Torreira got injured. But Torreira getting injured doesn't mean its a bad tackle because it wasn't.
