Sheffield United

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder: "It was always going to be tough. We didn't under-prepare, we knew what we would face.

"It was a fantatsic start. The Reading punters got right behind their team and they lifted their game. It was never going to be easy.

"As a Championship side we knocked out so many Premier League sides in this cup and the League Cup so we knew it was never going to be easy. The biggest thing is getting through, it took us extra time to do it but my team turns up, is consistent in their performance as I've always said.

"We got the job done and found a way to win. It was a difficult night for us.

"The first box was ticked last week when we reached 40 points and now we're in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, tick.

"It's all to play for and you never know where these players can take this football club. There's a great desire to finish this season off as well as we can."

Reading manager Mark Bowen: "It's hard to take when you put that much effort in. We soaked up pressure and we had periods where we took the game to them. It was a game of few chances and we have been done by two crosses into our box.

"It was a long hard fought battle and it's hard to take. My players know what we're about and what we can do together.

"We have to take this on in our league form, we have 10 games to go and we will pick up points."

In fairness when it comes to that rearrangement

• Both clubs have the potential for a total of three Premier League matches to be postponed due to FA Cup participation.
• There are only two midweeks clear of clashes with other competitions in which to re-arrange postponed matches.

Arsenal

You've not got much time to plan for this but just had a statement from the Premier League.

The Premier League match between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium has been moved to 11 March, 2020, kicking off at 19.30 GMT and will be shown live on Sky Sports.

The original match was scheduled to take place on 1 March but was postponed due to Manchester City's participation in the EFL Cup Final that same day.

The game will be played next Wednesday to avoid potential fixture congestion for both teams towards the end of the season.

"We were very unlucky to concede the second goal on the stroke of half-time. The reaction after conceding the third was brilliant. We came back and had more than enough chances to equalise.

"Unfortunately we ran out of time. We needed maybe five more minutes."

Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp tells BBC Sport: "I would really like if you stop mentioning it (the Watford loss). But we deserved to lose because they scored twice and we made massive mistakes for both goals.

"After that it was a completely open game, we had three-four shots in a row in the first half and Sadio Mane was close to finishing but the intensity of the game is why we made some changes. We needed fresh legs and then it needs to settle a bit but conceding does not help. The boys reacted well, I liked it but the second goal is a problem and Chelsea defended physically well.

"We are not unlucky in these moments, we looked good and Adrian made a superb save initially before the first goal. We have to be ready in the moments. We played Chelsea and they play in counter-attacks and that is OK, in moments they struggled with us. A lot of parts of the performance I really liked. We know we have to improve, it is not about destiny, not about not clicking here or there, it is all about us and we have to take it in the right way. It is not the best three weeks of the whole season but it is a a chance to make it the best three weeks now and that is the plan.

"We are not interested in Atletico Madrid, it is all about Bournemouth. They are fighting with all they have and they did really well against Chelsea. Nobody has to feel sorry for us, we will win football games and that is what we want to do on Saturday."
