Some great rotation, great movement and control of a match like you have never seen before from Manchester City, but what they have to do is break down that stubborn back five of Sheffield Wednesday. They need to create more opportunities but it is going to take pace and power. Somebody needs to take a risk if they are going to get that breakthrough.

  2. 'City grind teams down'published at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2020

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Manchester City

    Micah Richards
Former Man City defender on BBC One

I would expect Manchester City to come alive second half. That's what they do, they grind teams down. The longer the game goes on the more Manchester City will get into the game.

Ever thought, 'I could do that' when watching a top-class game?

    You're wrong, but...

Sheffield Wednesday's Joey Pelupessy has managed the fewest touches of all players during the first half (three), completing just one of his two passes.

  4. 'A bit slow from Manchester City'published at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2020

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Manchester City

    Alan Shearer
Former Newcastle and England striker on BBC One

Despite the possession that Manchester City have had Sheffield Wednesday have contained them. They've been very organised. It's been a bit slow from Manchester City, they've not moved the ball quickly enough. Sheffield Wednesday have done reasonably well and they'll be happy at half-time.

  11. 'Stones should hit the target'published at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2020

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Manchester City

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on BBC One

Strangely Sheffield Wednesday don't look particularly strong at set-pieces. John Stones should be hitting the target there. He just headed it down too much, put your head through the ball a bit more.

John Stones comes in around the back to meet a deep free-kick and heads it down and over the top. Big chance!

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2020

    Tottenham 1-0 Norwich

Should be two! Lucas Moura makes the most of a bad touch inside his own area from Mario Vrancic and takes the ball off him. He's only about eight yards out but his shot is easily pushed overby Tim Krul.

It's fair to say Michael Oliver is not proving popular with the home fans after a couple of decisions against Sheffield Wednesday. The Championship club have actually acquitted themselves well and have done a fine job limiting City - who have yet to have an effort on target - to a handful of chances.

City supporters have become so bored they have resorted to teasing the home fans.

"Champions of Yorkshire, you'll never be that," they sing.

City just need to move the ball a little bit quicker, take fewer touches on the ball and just keep moving from side-to-side with it.

Man City have got to create more. Possession has been good but the chances on goal have been very rare.

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Manchester CITY

    Martin Keown

Pep Guardiola has the look of someone who knows it's just a matter of time before it clicks and they find a way. He never sits down does he? He's always thinking and his brain is always ticking.

Liam Palmer was unlucky to receive a yellow card from Michael Oliver. He slid on the ball. It might have been a free-kick but the yellow card was harsh.
