James Maddison is just a very good footballer. He's just always looking to get on the ball. He's been great for Leicester, he's got a very bright future ahead of him. He just needs to be more consistent with his goal contribution.

It's 20 years since Sheffield Wednesday graced the Premier League stage but the Owls get to host football royalty as Manchester City play their first game since securing a sixth major trophy since Pep Guardiola took charge in 2016.

WIn at Hillsborough and City - who clinched the Carabao Cup on Sunday - will be two games from another final.

CIty have not lost an FA Cup tie since Wigan - then in League One - beat them in February 2018. They have won eight straight games in the competition since then. Will they make it nine on the bounce?

Speaking of 1993 they just showed a clip of Paul Warhurst firing shots thorugh a car tyre that I vividly remember watching on Football Focus back in 1993.

Couldn't tell you what I had for dinner yesterday but remember that. A mine of useless info.

    Tottenham v Norwich (19:45 GMT)

Tottenham have only progressed from one of their previous four FA Cup ties with Norwich, doing so in the most recent such encounter in January 1993.

    Micah Richards
Former Man City defender on BBC Red Button

Pep Guardiola hasn't got a bad team there. That's what is so good about Manchester City. They are going from strength to strength. It is great to see a manager taking the competition seriously.

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

They have got real strength in depth. The Manchester City manager respects these tournaments. We might see Gabriel Jesus sit on the left of a front three and Aguero down the middle, so it should be interesting to see how this pans out.

After continuing their domination of one domestic cup competition at the weekend, Manchester City resume their road to retaining the FA Cup for the first time in their history.

Following City's recent victories against Real Madrid and Aston Villa - and a mere 109 goals in all competitions this season - Sheffield Wednesday will be aware of the size of the task ahead of them.

The Owls, who last reached the FA Cup quarter-finals 23 years ago, will hope to forget about a run that has seen them win just once in eight games.

They will instead aim to recreate the headlines League One Wigan wrote at this stage two years ago.

Garry Monk will expect a performance but he won't want to get embarrassed. The fans could be on the turn at the moment with just one win in nine. There's a potential points deduction coming.

  13. 'The bond and unity can carry you'published at 19:22 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2020

    Tottenham v Norwich (19:45 GMT)

    Norwich City

Norwich boss Daniel Farke tells BBC Sport: "Teemu Pukki and Alex Tettey, it was not possible for them to play 90 minutes. I trust the whole squad and we have many important games to give players a chance and I hope we have a good balance of sticking to the team which was fantastic in the last game and bringing in some fresh legs.

"We are not the favourites today, Tottenham are a top payer with top players and a top coach and they were in the Champions League final not long ago. But we have a chance, the two games were close so hopefully we have some luck on our side and if we are good on our topics we have a chance.

"We have a special unity and spirit within the club and the fans. For a team that is bottom of the table, to have this spirit says a lot and they have a sense of what we are trying to achieve. The bond and unity can carry you. Hopefully we can send them back with a success and we have to work our socks off and be concentrated on our topics."

These are hard times for Sheffield Wednesday fans but at least they're able to laugh in the face of a dreadful run of form.

After Saturday's 3-1 home defeat to Derby County - the Owls were 3-0 down after 30 minutes - the supporters club wrote on Twitter: "Can we just say a very well done to today's man of the match".

Underneath those words was a picture of a pigeon which had landed on the pitch during the game.

I'm a MCFC fan and this is a strong side but let's be honest, there's at least one mistake in every one of that back four, Wednesday could have a proper go tonight.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers to BBC Sport on their shaky form: "We always have confidence. Every team has a bad period in the season so it’s normal. We have an honest group of players who have been superb in my time here.

"You can see from our performance levels how much Wilfried Ndidi has been missed. He has been a huge part in how we play. He won’t play the 90 minutes - hopefully a good hour.

"I saw Birmingham earlier in the season at Sheffield Wednesday and they played a little bit more football then. They’re more direct now and play off the striker.

"Every team in the Championship is good at set pieces. We have to be ready for that. But we have to play out game. This is a Midlands derby and a game we want to win and get through."
