  1. 'An avoidable goal'published at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

RB Leipzig 2-0 Tottenham (Agg: 3-0)

    Rob Green
Former West Ham and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Such a simple goal. Lloris again gets a hand to the ball and isn’t able to keep it out. It’s a horrible one for a goalkeeper, you think you’ve made a fantastic save and it hits the post and drifts over the line. Such an avoidable goal for Tottenham.

  2. Postpublished at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

RB Leipzig 2-0 Tottenham (Agg: 3-0)

Angelino is having a field day on the left for Leipzig. Serge Aurier being made to look like the defender that he is. Another run and cross is just about dealt with.

  3. Postpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

RB Leipzig 2-0 Tottenham (Agg: 3-0)

Only Aston Villa (42) have conceded more goals in all competitions among Premier League teams than Tottenham Hotspur (37) since Jose Mourinho's first game in charge on November 23rd.

Ash Williams: Another question mark over Lloris. He gets a hand to it. Should’ve been saved. #bbcfootball

Paul: Lloris isn't an elite goalkeeper. He isn't one of the best in the world. Makes too many mistakes. Why do you think the likes of Real Madrid, Barca or even Bayern haven't been interested? For every good save there's about 20 mistakes #bbcfootball

Bresla Stephens: #bbcfootball Hugo Lloris is such a weak link for Spurs

  5. goal

GOAL - RB Leipzig 2-0 Tottenham (Agg: 3-0)published at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

    Marcel Sabitzer (21 mins)

    Hugo Lloris...

Not as bad an error this time but still a touch of crisp packet wrists about this. It's a catalogue of do-nots to be honest, Serge Aurier out of position to miss a header, no intensity to get back and stop Angelino's cross, nobody tracking Marcel Sabitzer and then no keeper able to keep out his header. Lloris gets a hand on it again but the ball beats him into the back of the net.

  6. goal

GOAL - Valencia 1-1 Atalanta (Agg: 2-5)published at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

    Kevin Gameiro (21 mins)

    Game on Gameiro?

Kevin Gameiro has one back for Valencia, just onside to put it home after some poor defending.

  7. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

RB Leipzig 1-0 Tottenham (Agg: 2-0)

Timo Werner has the ball in the back of the net! But he's flagged offside and VAR backs up the linesman.

What a fine ball in from former City left-back Angelino though, drilled in on the run for Werner to convert. Bit of a let-off for Spurs.

  8. Postpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

RB Leipzig 1-0 Tottenham (Agg: 2-0)

More problems back there as Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga both leave a straight ball and Timo Werner is nearly in on goal. Dier just about scrambles a recovery to clear.

  9. 'Out of Lloris' reach'published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

RB Leipzig 1-0 Tottenham (Agg: 2-0)

    Rob Green
Former West Ham and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was just out of Hugo Lloris' reach, he got fingertips on it. He’ll be disappointed with that. It’s a shot in the corner drifting away from him and one that he’s just not able to get to.

  10. Postpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

RB Leipzig 1-0 Tottenham (Agg: 2-0)

Spurs have kept just three clean sheets in 26 matches under Jose Mourinho in all competitions.

All that flair and fluent play has its downsides I guess.

  11. Postpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

RB Leipzig 1-0 Tottenham (Agg: 2-0)

That's lifted the crowd and straight away Leipzig go close - Nordi Mukiele volleying into the side-netting. Ah, he was offisde anyway.

Spurs need to score twice and if they did that without conceding they'd be through.

  12. goal

GOAL - RB Leipzig 1-0 Tottenham (Agg: 2-0)published at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

    Marcel Sabitzer (10 mins)

    Hugo Lloris - discuss.

Not for the first time he's let in a shot that an elite goalkeeper really should be saving. In my opinion, anyway.

Spurs are cut open down their left-hand side, a good ball finds Timo Werner and he hits a riproaring shot which is blocked by the face of Eric Dier. Good defending.

Nobody really reacts though and the home side are able to work it to captain Marcel Sabitzer maybe 22 yards out. He hits it low and pretty hard first time, Lloris gets down OK but then, well the ball just goes through his dive and in.

    No extra time tonight then.

  13. Postpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

RB Leipzig 0-0 Tottenham (Agg: 1-0)

Looks like Spurs are playing a back three tonight, as Serge Aurier has to defend well from wing-back to charge down a shot at the back post. Uncharted territory of course this for RB - do they come out and try and get a second or shut up shop and ask Tottenham to come at them?

  14. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

RB Leipzig 0-0 Tottenham (Agg 1-0)

    Rob Green
Former West Ham and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

This is a big task for Tottenham. Keeping hold of the ball is going to be a real task which they failed to do in the last leg - especially in the first half.

No such early drama over in Germany, a pleasantly bouncing atmosphere though. Lucas Moura is close to breaking in behind but RB shut him out well.

  17. goal

GOAL - Valencia 0-1 Atalanta (Agg: 1-5)published at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

    Josip Ilicic (Pen 3 mins)

Tie over, surely. Fresh from being fouled, Josip Ilicic steps up and steers in the spot kick.

Valencia need four to take us to extra-time.

  18. PENALTY to ATALANTApublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2020

    Valencia 0-0 Atalanta (Agg: 1-4)

That's one way to steady the nerves, if there were any for Atalanta! Josip Ilicic is tripped up, clear as day.
