Liverpool 1-0 Atletico Madrid (Agg 1-1)

Jan Oblak with another fine save! He has his angles spot on as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain again tests him with a low shot. It was on target and heading into the bottom corner but the big man got down to tip it wide.

Liverpool 1-0 Atletico Madrid (Agg 1-1)

Great ball from Roberto Firmino finds Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain inside the area - he's having some game - but the former Arsenal man is caught between a shot and a cross and just clips the ball over the top.

The Ox has really added some impetus to the hosts tonight.

    Paris St-Germain 2-0 Borussia Dortmund (Agg 3-2)

All yellow so far in Paris since the restart as Dortmund ask plenty of questions.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

Liverpool 1-0 Atletico Madrid (Agg 1-1)

Another fine save from Jan Oblak! Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain finds the way through once again with a lovely little clip over the top, bit of check side on it too. Sadio Mane is beyond the far post and hammers a volley with pace which Oblak lands on and saves between his knees somehow.

The offside flag was actually up but a great save nonetheless.

    Paris St-Germain 2-0 Borussia Dortmund (Agg 3-2)

Better from Dortmund already, they need a goal or they're out remember. They look like opening up PSG for the first time but Jadon Sancho takes a bad touch on the left and the chance has gone.

Liverpool 1-0 Atletico Madrid (Agg 1-1)

Liverpool target that right wing again but Mo Salah's touch isn't quite true enough to tame Virgil van Dijk's driving ball.

A reminder that if we have no further goals then we would go to extra time. A goal for the visitors and Liverpool would need to score three in total.

  13. 'I will know when to go'published at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

    England v Spain (21:15 GMT)

England women play tonight - manager Phil Neville says he "will know if it is the time to go" but insists he has the backing of the Football Association.

Neville's side have picked up three wins in 10 games going into tonight's SheBelieves Cup game against Spain.

He led England to fourth place at the 2019 World Cup but has come in for criticism following losses to lower-ranked sides Brazil and Norway.

"I will know myself if it is not working," said Neville.

"I will know if it's time to go and [the FA] know I'm that type of person."

  14. 'Atletico are doing a good job'published at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

Liverpool 1-0 Atletico Madrid (Agg 1-1)

    Guillem Balague
Spanish football journalist on BBC Radio 5 Live

Atletico Madrid came to do a job and they are actually dong it well. They defended deep and they broke Liverpool's high tempo at points. It's just that they lost possession on the build up and they didn't create enough chances.

  15. Postpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

    Paris St-Germain 2-0 Borussia Dortmund (Agg 3-2)

All is not lost for the visitors, who have not managed to get goal machine Erling Haaland into the game yet.

One goal would level it all up and send us to extra time.

  16. 'Liverpool shouldn't be worried'published at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

Liverpool 1-0 Atletico Madrid (Agg 1-1)

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

They've held the ball well and played the ball into dangerous areas. Have we seen the brilliant intricacy of Liverpool at their best? No we haven't - but we haven't seen that for a while. It would be a worry for them if they hadn't got that goal before half time, but the fans won't be too worried. That goal really takes the pressure off them now.

  17. Postpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

Liverpool 1-0 Atletico Madrid (Agg 1-1)

Jurgen Klopp sprinted down the tunnel at half time to get ready for the second half. Remember, Klopp is yet to lose a home Champions League game with Liverpool.

  18. Liverpool strike just in timepublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Huge celebration and relief for Liverpool just as Atletico Madrid thought they were going to make it to the interval unscathed.

This tie is totally in the balance but an important momentum shift towards Liverpool at the end of the half.

Ash: Oxlade-Chamberlain has been the driving force this half. What a cross. Gini with another goal against another Spanish team. Joao Felix hasn’t shown any reason why he cost so much yet.

Keith: Wijnaldum stepping up when needed!
