  1. Copenhagen have a pedigree - Lennonpublished at 17:54 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2020

    Copenhagen v Celtic (17:55)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon is mindful of keeping the tie alive ahead of the return in Glasgow and not reading too much into Copenhagen's form.

"Copenhagen have a great pedigree in Europe and their manager is very shrewd, so I don't know if we are favoourites," he says.

"We are in good form. We have some injuries, but confidence is good, but we are not taking anything for granted. Copenhagen are difficult to beat.

"We want to make inroads into this competition."

I think Lennon is happy with this structure and shape away from home in Europe. If Griffiths was fit tonight, would he have made a change? I don't think it'll weaken Celtic too much. We saw that against Aberdeen on Sunday

Neil Lennon could've possibly have tightened it up and went with the five at the back, especially when it looks like Copenhagen are going to go with two-up top, so that'll be a test for Ajer and Jullien

  7. Four changes for Copenhagenpublished at 17:40 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2020

    Copenhagen v Celtic (17:55)

Head coach Stale Solbakken has made four changes from his side's league defeat on Friday.

Former Everton and Sunderland man Bryan Oviedo, the Costa Rica international, Iceland international Ragnar Sigurdsson and Victor Nelsson come into defence and Pep Biel is in midfield.

Out go Pierre Bengtsson, Andreas Bjelland, Sotirios Papagiannopoulos and Mohamed Daramy.

Perhaps crucially, top scorer Pieros Sotiriou, the Cyprus striker who has 13 goals to his name this term, has been sold to Kazakhstan champions Astana for a reported £4m, while Denmark international Viktor Fischer, the former Ajax and Middlesbrough attacker, is also missing through injury.

  11. How they got here...published at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2020

    Copenhagen v Celtic (17:55)

Copenhagen qualified as runners-up in Group B, two points behind Malmo, after winning two and drawing three of their games in a section that also included Ukraine's Dynamo Kiev and Swiss side Lugano.

Celtic were imperious in topping Group E, their only defeat coming in the dead rubber away to Cluj when Neil Lennon's side had already qualified from a tough section in which Italians Lazio and French side Rennes were left trailing.

  12. 50-50 tie - Solbakkenpublished at 17:24 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2020

    Copenhagen v Celtic (17:55)

Copenhagen coach Stale Solbakken remains optimistic despite his side's lack of action and dip in form.

"It is a 50-50 tie here," he says. "Celtic have found a different rhythm from us. We have played friendlies and had a very weak second half of the opening game of the year.

"But, in one game here, anything can happen. There is not that big a difference between the teams and I will be disappointed if we don't have our moments."

  13. Form points to Celtic progresspublished at 17:21 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2020

    Copenhagen v Celtic (17:55)

Form suggests Celtic go into tonight's game as favourites after nine straight victories - and nine wins on the trot away from home since losing to Cluj in the Europa League group stage.

In contrast, Danish Superliga champions Copenhagen have struggled since returning from their winter break and have slipped seven points behind leaders Midtjylland after Friday's surprise 1-0 defeat away to second bottom Esbjerg.

That was a third consecutive defeat for Stale Solbakken's side, having been beaten by Norrkoping and AGF in the Atlantic Cup.

  14. Frimpong makes European bowpublished at 17:16 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2020

    Copenhagen v Celtic (17:55)

Jeremie Frimpong, who has been on the bench since returning from injury, makes his European debut for Celtic after the 19-year-old right-back was not included in the squad for the group stage.

Jonny Hayes is back in at left-back in place of the injured Greg Taylor and Ryan Christie returns to the team in an attacking midfield role for just his second start of the year.

Taylor and injured striker Leigh Griffiths - as well as midfielder Nir Bitton, who makes the bench - drop out from Sunday's win at Aberdeen.

The Europa League last 32 is a step up from the Scottish Cup fifth round, but Celtic and Rangers have a tough task on their hands tonight to match the drama of the last two evenings of domestic replays, which produced 15 goals between them.

Neil Lennon's Scottish Premiership leaders are up first, with their kick-off away to troubled Danish champions Copenhagen at 17:55.

Steven Gerrard's Ibrox side have the arguably tougher task at 20:00 despite being at home - against an in-form Sporting Braga fresh from winning away to Benfica for the first time in 65 years.
