  1. HALF-TIME Heart of Midlothian 0-1 Motherwellpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

Motherwell go into the break a goal ahead at Tynecastle – thanks to a superb solo effort from Christopher Long and a defensive howler from Craig Halkett.

The Hearts centre-back hesitated on the ball to allow Long to steal the ball and round goalkeeper Bobby Zlamal.

The home side have looked dangerous at points, with Steven Naismith and Conor Washington both carving out chances - the former coming close after his shot from close-range flashed just past the post.

Sean Clare almost scored goal of the season from his own half, but Liam Grimshaw was on hand to clear.

Motherwell look dangerous on the counter though – at one point it was four against one going forward on the break.

Hearts survived, though, to set up an intriguing second half.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    Heart of Midlothian 0-1 Motherwell

Chris Long strikes the woodwork - but had just strayed offside. It was a superb volley nonetheless, pouncing on to a header down on the edge of the area and goalkeeper Bobby Zlamal had no chance had that been half an inch lower (and onside).

  3. HALF-TIME Hamilton Academical 0-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

It's been a good game at the Fountain of Youth Stadium despite the lack of goals. The story of the half is really how has the ball stayed out of the net.

Marios Ogkmpoe has twice headed wide for Hamilton, while David Moyo should have finished after a defensive mistake.

However, Kilmarnock have had the better of the first half, helped by Accies losing Jamie Hamilton and Blair Alston to injury, but despite a number of pot shots at goal, they haven't found a way past goalkeeper Luke Southwood.

  4. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 0-1 Hibernianpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

Hibs have the lead at the break, reward for being more adept at hitting the target in an otherwise even first half.

Aberdeen thought they should've had a penalty when Lewis Ferguson and Hibs' Greg Docherty tussled in the box, but the home fans have had little to shout about.

  5. HALF-TIME St Johnstone 0-0 Livingstonpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

It's all square at the break at McDiarmid Park in what has been a fairly uninspiring affair.

Let's hope for better after the break.

  6. HALF-TIME Celtic 2-0 St Mirrenpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

Celtic have dominated this fixture for 30 years and they have ended up dominating this first half.

St Mirren looked fairly sturdy in the early stages with a back three allowing the wing-backs to get up the field.

But one of those - Calum Waters - switched off for a second and Leigh Griffiths ghosted in to give Celtic a 1-0 lead. St Mirren appealed for an offside flag, which never came. Since then, Celtic have dominated.

But more heartache for the Saints on the stroke of half time. A give-and-go between Griffiths and Tom Rogic on the edge of the box and the Scotland striker dinked the ball past Hladky to make it 2-0.

Celtic on course to go 16 points clear at the top of the Premiership.

    Leigh Griffiths

    What a goal that was!

Leigh Griffiths jinks past a few bodies looking pretty but motionless in pink at the edge of the penalty box, plays a one-two with Tom Rogic and flicks it with the outside of his boot past goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky and in off the far post.

Second goal of the game for the reborn striker. And good news for Scotland head coach Stevie Clarke ahead of the Euro 2020 play-off against Israel.

  8. Accies forced into second subpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    Hamilton Academical 0-0 Kilmarnock

Hamilton have had to make a second substitution already.

Earlier, 17-year-old defender Jamie Hamilton, who spent last week training with Brighton & Hove Albion, hobbled off and now midfielder Blair Alston has not recovered from a challenge and goes off too. Will Collar comes on as his replacement.

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    Aberdeen 0-1 Hibernian

Aberdeen are on at referee John Beaton after Lewis Ferguson goes down under Greg Docherty's challenge, but there's no penalty awarded.

Referee Beaton clearly feels both players were grappling and therefore there was no infringement.

  10. GOAL Aberdeen 0-1 Hibernianpublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    Christian Doidge

Hibs take the lead as Christian Doidge latches on to Scott Allan's defence-splitting pass, rounds goalkeeper Joe Lewis and scores from a tight angle.

The Dons claim offside, but they get no sympathy from the officials.

  11. Postpublished at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    Heart of Midlothian 0-1 Motherwell

Steven Naismith is almost in for Hearts after some lovely build-up play from the home side with some slick passing from the middle. The Scotland forward finds himself in space on the left side of the box, but that final ball is just slightly over-hit. Hearts are ramping up the pressure, but Motherwell are still looking dangerous on the counter-attack.

  12. CLOSE!published at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    St Johnstone 0-0 Livingston

Marvin Bartley's defence-splitting pass puts Steven Lawless straight through, but the pressure from Jamie McCart forces the midfielder to put it inches wide. It was a difficult angle, but Lawless will be kicking himself not to have converted.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    Celtic 1-0 St Mirren

We've seen Tom Rogic score from there so often.

The Australia midfielder gathers 20 yards from goal and curls it towards the far corner, but St Mirren goalkeeper is at full stretch to push it clear.

  15. Postpublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    Celtic 1-0 St Mirren

St Mirren have survived Celtic's mini storm after the host's goal and threaten at the other end.

Tony Andreu's snap shot momentarily looks to have deceived Fraser Forster, but the goalkeeper gathers at the second attempt.

  16. Postpublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    Hamilton Academical 0-0 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock have began to take control of the game at The Fountain of Youth Stadium, but their finishing leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of possession, a lot of shots at goal, but a lot of Hamilton goal kicks as the ball continues to go wide of the post without a save for Luke Southwood to make.

  17. Dons' radar letting them downpublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Hibernian

Although it's been an even first half at Pittodrie, Aberdeen have struggled to emulate Hibs in hitting the target. Connor McLennan is the latest Dons man to fire off target.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    Heart of Midlothian 0-1 Motherwell

It's end-to-end stuff at Tynecastle. Lewis Moore slips a superb ball through to Steven Naismith in the penalty area and the forward's strike flashes narrowly wide of the post. Just moments later, Motherwell are four against one going forward and there is a shout for a penalty as goalkeeper Bobby Zlamal comes out to try to take the ball as Hearts survive.

Caley Thistle's promotion bid takes another blow as evergreen midfielder Alan Trouten scores.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    St Johnstone 0-0 Livingston

Liam Gordon's horror of a header back towards Zander Clarke is picked up Steven Lawless, who strikes a volley first time. Goalkeeper Clarke reacted well to tip the ball over the bar. The Saints back-line are at fault for creating the chance, but the technique from Lawless was outstanding, matched only by Clarke's reaction save.
