Southampton striker Danny Ings on Sky Sports: "With the strange environment it was about adapting, we did that well and got it spot on. In the first half, when I hit the bar I thought I was rusty. But I am happy I stuck in there.

"It was good to be back. It was good fun. Hopefully we brought joy to the nation."

There may be a little bit of transfer activity around Tottenham this summer - just don't expect it to be a big money signing.

Jose Mourinho confirmed Spurs will have to be more reserved in their spending compared to other clubs in the Premier League.

"You have now examples already of clubs investing and making important movements in the market and we are still nine matches away from the end of the season," said Mourinho.

"We know that we are not going to be in the same league, in the same world, as clubs that are going to do completely different to us.

"I expect us to do some little important things and if we do our little important things and we improve in two, three positions that we need to improve in the squad, I am completely open to the challenge."

After this I don't think Norwich are going to be good enough to stay in the Premier League. They had early opportunities but no composure in front of goal and then the belief just evaporated.

Second half - I don't think embarrassing is too strong a description.

Norwich I think are down, I don't think there is any way back. It is the nature of the defeat too, Southampton were a different class.

Where do Norwich go from here? It doesn't look good for them, very, very difficult after this result to even contemplate staying in the Premier League.

Marcus Rashford is very much the man of the moment.

The Manchester United striker's efforts to ensure children don't go hungry during the coronavirus pandemic were rewarded this week, when the government extended a free school meals scheme outside term time.

The scheme will benefit about 1.3m children in England.

At the age of 22, why has Rashford been so willing to step out of his comfort zone and campaign for change?

Kane played in a friendly with Norwich last week

It has been a long time since the players were out on a pitch for a competitive game - even longer for Harry Kane.

He last featured for Tottenham on New Year's Day, when he suffered a serious hamstring injury against Southampton that later required surgery.

Kane's prolonged absence means he has dropped down the top scorers list in the Premier League. He has 11, eight behind leading scorer Jamie Vardy.

Kane was in good form just before his injury with four goals in five games, so he will be hoping he can pick right up from where he left off.

It may be three months but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keeps with the Manchester United team that was on an outstanding 11-game unbeaten run before the season was halted.

And this means Paul Pogba is restricted to a place on the bench - but a very handy weapon to be able to call on.

It will be intriguing to see how Jose Mourinho has worked on Spurs during the hiatus. He can call on Harry Kane again after his hamstring surgery, which he was unlikely to be able to do had the season taken its usual course.

Simeon: I'm trying to work out which result was more absurd - Norwich beating Man City or Southampton losing 9 nil at home. Both seem a lifetime ago, which in fairness they were.
