On the radio this evening we're giving you two options for following this game.

On BBC Radio 5 Live you're getting the commentary as normal.

But on Sports Extra the commentary has added audio enhancements, to make it feel less like you're listening to a match in an empty stadium and more like football as we usually know it.

Let us know which one you prefer - thumbs up for commentary only, thumbs down for commentary with added background noise.

In response to the plane (and accompanying message) flying over the Etihad in the early stages of tonight's game, Burnley have issued the following statement...

"Burnley Football Club strongly condemns the actions of those responsible for the aircraft and offensive banner that flew over The Etihad Stadium on Monday evening.

"We wish to make it clear that those responsible are not welcome at Turf Moor.

"This, in no way, represents what Burnley Football Club stands for and we will work fully with the authorities to identify those responsible and take appropriate action.

"The club has a proud record of working with all genders, religions and faiths through its award-winning Community scheme, and stands against racism of any kind.

"We are fully behind the Premier League’s Black Lives Matter initiative and, in line with all other Premier League games undertaken since Project Restart, our players and football staff willingly took the knee at kick-off at Manchester City.

"We apologise unreservedly to the Premier League, to Manchester City and to all those helping to promote Black Lives Matter."

  6. Unwanted plane flightpublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 22 June 2020

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Manchester City were dominant before the game but something happened off it at the start of the game which hasn't created much positivity.

A couple of minutes after Burnley's players and coaching staff took a knee before the game, a plane flew over the Etihad Stadium dragging a banner 'White Lives Matter Burnley'.

It circled for three or four minutes before flying off.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 45+5 mins

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

There were long periods of that half where little happened. But City can turn it on in flashes like few sides in the world. They've hit three for the second match running since lockdown.

And this could get real messy, real quick now for Burnley.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 45+3mins

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

That Mee foul was actually a costly one to City as well as Burnley as it has ended Aguero's night. He departs, with Gabriel Jesus coming on.

  9. Hamstring injury for Aguero?published at 20:50 British Summer Time 22 June 2020

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was incredibly harsh but there was contact.

I think Sergio Aguero was saying "hamstring" to Pep Guardiola, he turned away and looked devastated.

If it is, then it could be two or three weeks and in today's climate that is around seven games!

  10. goal

GOAL - Man City 3-0 Burnleypublished at 45+3 mins

    Riyad Mahrez

Well, if it wasn't game over at 2-0, it definitely is now!

Mahrez steps up and strokes his second goal of the game into the corner. It is bang into the corner as well and needs to be as Pope guessed right.

  11. PENALTYpublished at 45+2 mins

    Man 2-0 Burnley

    Yep. A penalty it is.

  12. VAR

Video Assistant Refereepublished at 45+1 mins

    Man City 2-0 Burnley

    Is this a penalty?

Aguero is felled by Ben Mee in the box. They are checking and I think it looks likely we'll be seeing a spot-kick here.

  13. 'Unstoppable' Mahrezpublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 22 June 2020

    Man City 2-0 Burnley

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

See what happens when you give Riyad Mahrez some space.

For once he gets the ball with one defender to run at and rips him to shreds and buries it in the bottom corner.

Mahrez has lots of skills and drops, but when he chops onto his right he is bordering on the unstoppable, the goalkeeper will do well to stop the finish.

  14. goal

GOAL - Man City 2-0 Burnleypublished at 42 mins

    Riyad Mahrez

And I think we can probably all agree that this is game over.

Riyad Mahez gets away down the left, tears into the box, turns Charlie Taylor one way, then another before firing a shot across Pope and into the far corner. Brilliant and decisive.

  15. Postpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 22 June 2020

    Man City 1-0 Burnley

    John Murray
    BBC Radio 5 Live commentator

The incident at the start of the match was a banner flown by a plane.

It read, "White Lives Matter, Burnley."

That is what happened while the players were taking a knee.

  16. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Man City 1-0 Burnley

Sergio Aguero hasn't had much to work with so far, such are the Burnley numbers in their own box but he gets a low shot away from the edge of the area that is blocked.

  17. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Man City 1-0 Burnley

Another City corner causes Burnley problems. It is again taken short but this time Riyad Mahrez curls over a deep cross that Sergio Aguero prods back before a Burnley head clears.

The fella who has to keep coming out to disinfect the corner flags is gonna have a busy night by the looks of it.

  18. Difference in qualitypublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 22 June 2020

    Man City 1-0 Burnley

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Dwight McNeil made a brilliant run but he needs to play it quicker.

There was a ball on and if he played it in better it would have been a chance for a Burnley player to get on the end of it.

That is the difference when you have a Kevin de Bruyne, David Silva on the ball.

  19. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Man City 1-0 Burnley

A rare Burnley charge forward comes to nothing as Dwight McNeil's low ball into the box - designed for Matej Vydra to attack - is cleared by Fernandinho.

Pep Guardiola was going all Joe Wicks workout in that drinks break.

Punching left, right, left right. He will be doing squats next.
