Sunday's performances and tonight's were polar opposites. They didn't cope with the behind closed doors aspect on Sunday but they are going to win the league. It is a surreal experience but it certainly didn't stop Liverpool tonight, they were back on it.

Liverpool were in the mood tonight and that's what Jurgen Klopp wanted to see tonight. They turned it on and a match behind closed doors at Anfield is just a surreal experience.

Football is not meant to be like this. You'd be forgiven for thinking this was played out in front of a full and raucous Anfield though - Liverpool played some fantastic football.

Neco Williams looks the business! He now chops inside a tired tackle and whacks in a shot left-footed which rattles at Wayne Hennessey.

Finn_kid: Liverpool's performance sums up their whole season. Pure dominance

Andrew Ogley: As much as I've missed football, I've not missed having having my heart in my mouth and nervously pacing around the living room for 90 minutes at a time. A 30 year wait does that to you.

Monsieur Roberè: I’m starting to believe now!

It was Neco Williams who played that pass, a blinder. And now he has a shot charged down. Fancies a PL goal.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 22:03 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Liverpool 4-0 Crystal Palace

Wayne Hennessey saves his best save for when it means nothing, good stop though! Mo Salah is played in by a fine sliderule pass, he tries to prod it past the keeper who makes himself big and stops it.

What a cakewalk this has been. Palace have had one shot in the whole second half and it was wide.

We've had more subs than efforts on target tonight.

Tonyonduli: The best thing about tonight is that this squad can only improve. Add a back up striker to challenge and fill in and an additional winger - Jimenez and Traore spring to mind. Now there’s a thought!

Going off this performance Sunday was nothing more than rustiness. Excellent performance again tonight. What a team they are.

This game shows how much of a difference Klopp has made in a few years. In the equivalent fixture a few years ago under Rodgers, Liverpool bottled a 3-0 lead in 10 mins but now they just look so dominant.

Liverpool are well on course to beat the 100-points barrier by the way, if anyone still cares by that point. They are worthy champions this season, for sure.
