Hatters fans will be happy to read that.

    Charlton 1-0 QPR

Last 15 minutes approaching in this one and still could go either way.

Charlton pushing for a second goal that would give them some breathing space, but Tom Lockyer's close range header is well held by Rangers keeper Liam Kelly.

Kelly then also makes an accomplished save from a Darren Pratley shot from the edge of the box.

His penalty has put Derby in a commanding position as the second half gets under way at Pride Park.

They're also under way in the second period at Oakwell, where it's goalless between Barnsley and Millwall.

  7. goal

GOAL: Preston 1-1 Cardiffpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Daniel Johnson (74 mins)

Now it's Cardiff's turn to showcase some shabby defending and concede!

Preston do well to break and keep possession pretty much from the restart and, after Sean Maguire puts a delivery inside the Cardiff box, the Bluebirds can't clear it and the ball eventually bounces to Daniel Johnson who pokes it home in a flash.

Sensational stuff. This game has finally come alive!

    Swansea 0-1 Luton

That James Collins goal could be huge for Luton's hopes of staying in the Championship - and it could be equally significant for Swansea's aspirations of reaching the play-offs.

    Big moment.

    Preston 0-1 Cardiff

That Joe Ralls goal means Cardiff now replace Preston in sixth place in the Championship.

However they've got just over 15 minutes of normal time remaining to hold that lead.

What have Preston got in response?

  11. goal

GOAL: Preston 0-1 Cardiffpublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Joe Ralls (69 mins)

Commentator's curse strikes again, folks! Obviously spoke too soon about how good these two defences are as it's been a few minutes to forget for the Preston back line.

Ben Davies concedes a cynical foul on the edge of the box and, after the free-kick is blocked, Dion Sanderson whips in a lovely ball to the far post and Joe Ralls nods in with ease.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:02 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Swansea 0-0 Luton

Excellent stuff from Hatters stopper Simon Sluga, he reacts superbly at the far post to keep out Ben Cabango's header.

    Preston 0-0 Cardiff

With so much at stake in this part of the table, with both sides eyeing up a close-season charge for the play-offs, I guess it's no wonder that this game is short of chances.

It's a stunning game for fans of well organised Championship defences, but there's little in the way of attacking action for the neutral.

  14. Postpublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Charlton 1-0 QPR

Changes from both sides as the game passes the hour mark.

Charlton take off Tomer Hemed and Aiden McGeady for Chuks Aneke and Alfie Doughty.

QPR take Ilias Chair off for Olamide Shadipo.

Meanwhile Darren Pratley again proves dangerous in the air for the Addicks from a corner as his latest header goes over the bar.

  15. Postpublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Swansea 0-0 Luton

Luton midfielder Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu has a crack from 25 yards but it is straight at Swans keeper Freddie Woodman.

    Nice effort.

  16. Postpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Preston 0-0 Cardiff

We've reached the hour mark at Deepdale and neither side has anything to show for their efforts thus far.

Since the restart, both sides have exchanged attacks, corner and chances, but overall neither team wants to give much away and it's been a good afternoon for both back lines.

  17. Postpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Charlton 1-0 QPR

Charlton go close once more to stretching their lead.

Macauley Bonne thinks he's made it 2-0 for the hosts, but his headed effort is quickly ruled out for offside.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Barnsley 0-0 Millwall

Millwall have been the better side but, apart from Shane Ferguson hitting the bar with a free-kick, there have not been any real clear chances for both teams at Oakwell.

  19. Postpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    Preston 0-0 Cardiff

That's a sloppy free-kick if I've ever seen one. Preston win a free-kick in a dangerous area just outside of the Cardiff box.

Darnell Fisher elects to take it and thumps it into the wall and, to add insult to injury, Cardiff manage to clear it away before it goes out for a Preston corner.

Two late goals in that first half have put Derby firmly in control of this one.

They could just be a point off the play-off places before the later games as things stand.
